Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Ring devices, refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Power/Device Not Turning On: For the Battery Doorbell, ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted. For the Indoor Cam, verify it is securely plugged into a working power outlet.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi router is within range and functioning correctly. Try restarting your router and then re-connecting the device through the Ring app setup process.
  • Poor Video Quality: Check your internet speed and Wi-Fi signal strength. A weak signal can affect video resolution. Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
  • Motion Detection Not Working: Review your motion zone settings and sensitivity in the Ring app. Ensure motion alerts are enabled for the device.
  • Two-Way Talk Problems: Check your device's microphone and speaker settings in the Ring app. Ensure your phone's volume is up.
  • Device Offline: If a device frequently goes offline, it may be due to poor Wi-Fi signal. Consider moving the device closer to your router or using a Wi-Fi extender.
