6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries in both the main unit and outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always use fresh AAA batteries and ensure correct polarity.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.

6.3 Placement Guidelines

  • Main Unit: Place indoors on a flat surface or mount on a wall, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts that could affect temperature readings.
  • Outdoor Sensor: Mount the sensor in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct rain and sunlight, to ensure accurate readings. Ensure it is within the 100m transmission range of the main unit.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No outdoor reading: Check sensor batteries, ensure it's within range, and re-initiate pairing if necessary.
  • Inaccurate readings: Ensure both units are placed away from direct heat/cold sources, direct sunlight, or strong electromagnetic interference.
  • Display not working: Check main unit power source (USB or batteries). If using batteries, replace them.
  • Weather forecast seems incorrect: The forecast is based on barometric pressure trends over 12-24 hours and may not always match local weather services exactly. Allow time for the station to calibrate after initial setup.
