5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your SHARDOR Burr Coffee Grinder, refer to the following common solutions:
- Grinder does not start:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Verify that the bean hopper and grinding chamber are correctly assembled and locked into place. The grinder has safety interlocks that prevent operation if parts are not properly seated.
- Check if the digital timer is set to a non-zero value.
- Inconsistent grind:
- Ensure the burrs are clean and free of old coffee residue. Refer to the cleaning section.
- Adjust the grind setting to a different level to see if consistency improves.
- Grinder stops unexpectedly:
- The grinder may have overheated. Allow it to cool down for at least 10-15 minutes before attempting to use it again.
- Check for any obstructions in the burr area or chute.
- Coffee grounds stuck in the chute/chamber:
- Use the chamber cleaning button to dislodge grounds.
- Unplug the unit and use the cleaning brush to clear the chute.
