6.2. TTL Mode

In TTL mode, the flash automatically calculates the optimal light output based on the camera's metering system. This mode is recommended for quick and accurate exposure without manual adjustments. You can apply Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC) if needed to fine-tune the exposure.

6.3. Manual Mode (M)

In Manual mode, you have full control over the flash power output, typically adjustable from 1/1 (full power) to 1/128 power. Use the control dial to increase or decrease the power level according to your creative needs.

6.4. Wireless Operation (2.4G X System)

The iT30Pro-S can function as a master or slave unit within the Godox 2.4G X wireless system. To use:

  1. Set the flash to either Master (M) or Slave (S) mode via the touchscreen.
  2. Ensure the channel (CH) and group (GR) settings on the iT30Pro-S match those of your Godox X trigger (e.g., X3) or other Godox 2.4GHz flashes.
  3. For slave mode, the flash will be triggered by a master unit. For master mode, it can control other slave flashes.

6.6. High-Speed Sync (HSS)

Enable HSS mode to use the flash with shutter speeds faster than your camera's native flash sync speed (e.g., 1/250s). The iT30Pro-S supports HSS up to 1/8000s, allowing you to control ambient light in bright conditions or use wider apertures.

6.7. Front/Rear Curtain Sync

Select front-curtain sync (default) for the flash to fire at the beginning of the exposure. Choose rear-curtain sync for the flash to fire just before the shutter closes, creating a motion blur effect that trails behind the subject.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the flash unit clean and dry. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Store the flash in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, when not in use.
  • Regularly inspect the hot shoe contacts for any dirt or corrosion. Clean gently with a dry cloth if necessary.
  • If the flash will not be used for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged before storage and periodically recharge it to maintain battery health.
