3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Radio

The PRUNUS J-02 offers three power options:

• Rechargeable Battery: The radio comes with a built-in 1800mAh rechargeable battery. Connect the included USB-C cable to the radio's USB-C port and to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) for charging.
• D Batteries: For extended portable use or emergencies, insert 2 x D batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located on the back of the radio. Ensure correct polarity.
• Solar Charging: The dual solar panels on the top and back of the radio can absorb sunlight to charge the internal rechargeable battery. Place the radio in direct sunlight for efficient charging.

3.2 Antenna Setup

For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic dual antennas fully. Adjust their direction for the best signal clarity, especially for FM and SW bands.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control

• To turn the radio ON or OFF, rotate the Power/Volume Knob clockwise until it clicks.
• Continue rotating the Power/Volume Knob to adjust the listening volume.

4.2 Radio Tuning

• Use the Band Selector switch to choose between MUSIC, FM, AM, SW1, and SW2.
• Rotate the large Tuning Knob to scan for desired radio stations. The frequency scale will indicate your current band and frequency.

4.3 Bluetooth, TF Card, USB, and AUX Playback

• Switch the Band Selector to MUSIC mode.
• Bluetooth: The radio will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Search for "J-02" on your device and connect.
• TF Card/USB: Insert a TF card into the TF slot or a USB drive into the USB port. The radio will automatically detect and begin playing audio files.
• AUX Input: Connect an external audio device using a 3.5mm AUX cable (not included) to the AUX input port.
• Adjust the Bass/Treble Knob to fine-tune the audio output to your preference.

5. Maintenance

• Clean the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Keep the radio away from water, moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures to prevent damage.
• If using D batteries, remove them if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent battery leakage.
• Ensure the telescopic antennas are fully retracted when not in use to prevent bending or breakage.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Check if the rechargeable battery is charged, if D batteries are correctly inserted, or if the USB-C cable is properly connected for charging.
• Poor Reception: Fully extend the telescopic antennas and adjust their direction. Try moving the radio to a different location away from potential interference sources (e.g., other electronic devices).
• No Sound: Check the volume level. Ensure the correct mode (FM/AM/SW/MUSIC) is selected. If using Bluetooth, ensure the device is properly paired. If using TF/USB/AUX, ensure the media is inserted correctly and the files are compatible.
• Bluetooth Pairing Issues: Ensure the radio is in MUSIC mode and no other device is currently connected via Bluetooth. Try restarting both the radio and your Bluetooth device.
