4. Setup Guide

4.1. Initial Connection

1. Plug the QCC Dongle Pro into a USB Type-C port on your device (smartphone, tablet, PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch).
2. The dongle will automatically enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing LED.

4.2. Pairing with Bluetooth Headphones/Speakers

1. Put your Bluetooth headphones or speakers into pairing mode. Refer to your audio device's manual for specific instructions.
2. The QCC Dongle Pro will automatically detect and attempt to pair with nearby devices in pairing mode.
3. Once paired, the LED indicator on the QCC Dongle Pro will change to a solid color, indicating the active audio codec.

4.3. Special Instructions for PS5/Nintendo Switch

For PS5 and Nintendo Switch, an initial pairing step using the Questyle app is required:

1. Download the 'Questyle' app on your smartphone.
2. Connect the QCC Dongle Pro to your smartphone's USB Type-C port.
3. Use the Questyle app to pair the dongle with your desired Bluetooth headset/speaker.
4. Once paired via the app, unplug the dongle from your phone and plug it into the USB Type-C port of your PS5 or Nintendo Switch.
5. The console will automatically recognize the dongle and begin wireless audio transmission.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. General Use

• After successful pairing, audio from your connected device will be transmitted wirelessly to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
• Volume control typically operates via your connected audio device (headphones/speakers) or the source device (phone/PC).

5.2. Using the Questyle Companion App

The dedicated Questyle app provides enhanced control and customization:

• Device Management: View connected devices and manage pairings.
• Firmware Upgrades: Perform one-click firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access new features.
• Audio Codec Settings: Adjust Bluetooth audio codec settings to customize sound quality based on your preferences or listening scenarios. This allows you to select between high-quality modes (e.g., LDAC, aptX Lossless) and low-latency modes (e.g., aptX Adaptive) if supported by your headphones.

• Blue (Solid): SBC codec active.

9.1. Device Not Pairing

• For PS5/Switch, remember to first pair the dongle with your headphones via the Questyle app on a smartphone.
• Try restarting both the QCC Dongle Pro and your audio device.

9.2. No Sound or Low Sound Quality

• Check the volume levels on both your source device and your Bluetooth headphones/speakers.
• Ensure the QCC Dongle Pro is correctly plugged into the USB-C port and its LED indicates a stable connection (not flashing).
• Verify that your audio output is set to the QCC Dongle Pro on your source device (e.g., PC sound settings).
• If using advanced codecs (LDAC, aptX Lossless), ensure your headphones also support these codecs. The LED indicator will show the active codec.
• Try adjusting codec settings via the Questyle app if available.

9.3. Intermittent Connection or Dropouts

• Ensure there are no significant obstructions between the dongle and your audio device.
• Minimize interference from other wireless devices (Wi-Fi routers, other Bluetooth devices).
