General Safety
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating the pruning shears.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
Electrical Safety
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Use only with specified battery packs and chargers.
- Do not modify the battery pack or charger.
Pruning Shears Specific Safety
- Keep hands away from the cutting blades.
- Ensure the safety lock is engaged when the tool is not in use or during maintenance.
- Do not attempt to cut branches larger than the specified maximum cutting diameter (40mm / 1.6 inches).
- When using the telescopic pole, ensure it is securely assembled and the strap is properly adjusted for balance.

3. Setup and Assembly
3.1 Charging the Batteries
- Connect the fast charger to a power outlet.
- Insert a 4.0Ah battery into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

3.2 Attaching the Battery
- Ensure the pruning shears are switched off and the safety lock is engaged.
- Slide a charged battery into the battery slot at the base of the pruning shears until it clicks into place.

3.3 Assembling the Telescopic Pole (Optional)
- Insert the electric pruning shears into the designated slot on the telescopic pole.
- Secure the shears to the pole using the safety latch.
- Adjust the pole length by loosening the locking mechanism, extending to the desired length (1.5m to 2.7m), and then tightening the lock.
- Attach the shoulder strap to the pole for balanced support during extended use.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the power button until the LED display illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again.
4.2 Adjusting Cutting Modes
The shears offer 4 cutting modes to suit different branch thicknesses:
- Mode 1 (15mm / 0.59"): Ideal for flowers and delicate stems.
- Mode 2 (20mm / 0.79"): Suitable for vines and small shrubs.
- Mode 3 (25mm / 0.98"): For fruit trees and medium branches.
- Mode 4 (40mm / 1.6"): For thick branches and dry wood.
Press the mode selection button to cycle through the available cutting modes. The LED display will indicate the selected mode.

4.3 Making Cuts
- Position the open blades around the branch to be cut.
- Ensure the branch is within the maximum cutting capacity for the selected mode.
- Press the trigger to close the blades and make the cut. Release the trigger to open the blades.
- For optimal performance and blade longevity, avoid twisting the shears during a cut.

4.4 Using the Telescopic Pole

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pruning shears.
5.1 Cleaning
- After each use, clean the blades with a damp cloth to remove sap and debris.
- Apply a light coat of oil to the blades to prevent rust.
- Ensure the battery contacts are clean and dry.
5.2 Blade Sharpening and Replacement
- Use the provided sharpening stone to keep the blades sharp. Follow the original blade angle.
- If the blade becomes dull or damaged beyond sharpening, replace it with the provided SK5 replacement blade. Refer to the diagram in the manual for replacement instructions.
5.3 Storage
- Store the pruning shears in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children.
