4. Setup
4.1 Firebox Preparation
Ensure your firebox meets the minimum size requirements: 20 inches (H) x 28 inches (W) in front (23 inches W at rear) x 15 inches (D). The firebox must be clean and free of debris.

4.2 Gas Line Connection
Connect the gas line to the U-burner chassis. This step requires a qualified gas technician to ensure proper and safe connection to your natural gas supply. Improper connection can lead to gas leaks and serious hazards.
4.3 Log Placement
Carefully arrange the 8 ceramic fiber logs on the burner chassis according to the diagram provided in the detailed user manual. The logs are designed to fit together like a puzzle, ensuring optimal flame appearance and heat distribution. Do not block any burner ports or air inlets.

4.4 Ember Material Application
Distribute the glowing ember material from the provided bag evenly over the burner pan, avoiding direct contact with the burner ports. This enhances the realistic glowing effect.
4.5 Battery Installation
Install 1 AAA battery (included) into the battery-assisted Piezo ignition system. Refer to the manual for the exact location of the battery compartment.
5. Operation
5.1 Ignition
To ignite the log set, turn the control knob to the 'PILOT' position and press it in. While holding, press the Piezo igniter button repeatedly until the pilot flame ignites. Continue to hold the control knob for approximately 60 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob; if the pilot extinguishes, repeat the process. Once the pilot is stable, turn the control knob to the desired heat setting (1-5).

5.2 Thermostatic Control
The DLS-N24T-2 features a built-in thermostat control. Once set to a desired temperature, the burner will automatically cycle on and off to maintain the room temperature, providing consistent and efficient heating.
5.3 Heat Output
This unit provides 33,000 BTU of heat, capable of heating up to 1,300 sq. ft. It operates on natural gas, offering 99.9% efficiency without the need for an outside duct or chimney.

5.4 Shutting Down
To turn off the appliance, rotate the control knob to the 'OFF' position. For extended periods of non-use, it is recommended to turn off the main gas supply valve.
