3. Setup Instructions
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Ensure all listed components are present.
- Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach one end of the 25-foot premium paint hose to the sprayer's outlet and the other end to the airless spray gun. Ensure connections are tight using the provided wrenches.
- Install Spray Tip and Guard: Securely attach the spray tip guard and the 515 spray tip to the spray gun. If using the 12" tip extension, attach it between the gun and the tip guard.
- Attach Suction Hose: Connect the suction hose to the inlet on the sprayer. Place the filtrate seat assembly (filter end) into the paint container.
- Prime the Sprayer:
- Ensure the pressure regulating valve is set to the lowest pressure setting.
- Place the return tube (from the flush-ease valve) into a waste bucket.
- Turn the sprayer ON. Allow the pump to run until paint flows smoothly from the return tube, indicating air has been purged from the system.
- Once primed, turn the sprayer OFF.
- Test Spray: Before applying to your project, perform a test spray on a piece of cardboard or scrap material to check the spray pattern and pressure.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Paint Preparation
- The Baotree Airless Paint Sprayer is compatible with oil-based paint, latex paint, primer, varnish, and waterproof paint without additional dilution, provided the viscosity is ≤100KU.
- Always stir paint thoroughly before use.
- For best results, filter paint through a mesh strainer to remove any lumps or debris that could clog the spray tip.
4.2 Spraying Technique
- Adjust Pressure: Turn the pressure regulating valve to the desired setting. Start with a lower pressure and gradually increase until you achieve a consistent, even spray pattern without tails.
- Maintain Distance: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, typically 10-12 inches away. Maintain a consistent distance throughout the spray stroke.
- Overlap Strokes: Overlap each spray pass by approximately 50% to ensure even coverage and avoid streaks.
- Trigger Control: Begin moving the spray gun before pulling the trigger and release the trigger before stopping the movement. This prevents paint buildup at the start and end of each stroke.
- Safety Lock: Always engage the safety lock on the spray gun when not actively spraying or when moving the gun.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your airless paint sprayer. Clean the unit immediately after each use.
- Relieve Pressure: Always turn off the sprayer and relieve pressure in the system before cleaning or performing any maintenance. Follow the instructions for the Flush-Ease Valve.
- Flush System:
- Remove the suction hose from the paint and place it into a bucket of appropriate cleaning solution (water for latex, mineral spirits for oil-based).
- Place the return tube into the waste bucket.
- Turn the sprayer ON and allow the cleaning solution to circulate until it runs clear from the return tube and spray gun (when triggered into a waste container).
- Turn off the sprayer and relieve pressure.
- Clean Components: Disassemble the spray tip, tip guard, and filter. Clean them thoroughly with the appropriate cleaning solution and the provided cleaning kit.
- Wipe Down: Wipe down the exterior of the sprayer and hoses with a damp cloth.
- Storage: Store the sprayer in a clean, dry, and temperature-controlled environment. For long-term storage, consider using a pump protector fluid.
