2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Connecting the Keyboard

The Z-68 keyboard offers three connection methods:

1. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode:
   • Locate the USB receiver stored in the keyboard's side slot.
   • Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
   • Switch the mode selector on the keyboard to 2.4G wireless mode.
   • Press FN + R to activate 2.4GHz pairing. The keyboard should connect automatically.

2. Bluetooth 5.0 Mode:
   • Switch the mode selector on the keyboard to Bluetooth mode.
   • Press and hold FN + Q, FN + W, or FN + E for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for Bluetooth device 1, 2, or 3 respectively. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
   • On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, phone), search for Bluetooth devices and select "E-YOOSO Z-68".
   • Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing. You can connect up to three Bluetooth devices and switch between them using FN + Q/W/E.
3. USB Wired Mode:
   • Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port and the other end to your computer.
   • The keyboard will automatically switch to wired mode and begin charging.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 RGB Backlight Control

The keyboard features extensive RGB backlighting with various effects and customization options:

• FN + ↑ / ↓: Adjust backlight brightness (5 levels).
• FN + ← / →: Adjust backlight speed.
• FN + Shift: Switch between 15 RGB lighting effects.
• FN + Enter: Switch backlight colors (red, green, blue, yellow, pink, cyan, white, and RGB cycle).
• FN + PgDn: Cycle switching of side lamp effect (Flow, Neon, Static, Pulse, Off).
• FN + PgUp: Switch side lamp speed.
• FN + Del: Switch the color of the side lamp (available for Pulse and Static modes).

3.2 Metal Volume Knob Functionality

• Rotate Knob: Adjust device volume (clockwise for up, counter-clockwise for down).
• Short Press Knob: Play/Pause media.
• Press and Hold Knob (3 seconds): Switch between volume control mode and RGB backlight control mode.
• In RGB Control Mode: Short press to switch RGB modes; rotate to adjust brightness.

3.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

The Z-68 keyboard supports hot-swappable switches, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. This feature enables customization of typing feel and sound.

3.4 FN Shortcuts

System Switching: Default to Windows system. Press FN + A to switch to macOS (white indicator below key flashes 3 times). Press FN + S to switch back to Windows.

3.5 Auto Power Saving

To conserve battery, the keyboard's backlight will turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity in wireless mode. Press any key to wake up the keyboard.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

• Disconnect the keyboard from all devices before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of the keyboard.
• For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid excessive moisture.
• Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between keycaps.

4.2 Keycap and Switch Replacement

The Z-68 keyboard comes with a 2-in-1 key puller for easy maintenance:

• To remove a keycap, use the keycap puller to gently lift it straight up.
• To remove a switch, use the switch puller (the other end of the tool) to grasp the switch from the top and bottom clips, then pull it straight up.
• When inserting a new switch, ensure the pins are aligned correctly with the hot-swappable socket to avoid bending them. Press firmly until it clicks into place.
• Place the desired keycap onto the new switch stem and press down gently.

5. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard not responding: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the connection mode (wired, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) and ensure it matches your device. Try reconnecting or re-pairing.
• Backlight not working: Check brightness settings using FN+↑/↓. Ensure the keyboard is not in auto power-saving mode.
• Connectivity issues: For 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged in. For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled. Try restarting both the keyboard and your device.
• Keys not registering: If a specific key is not working, it might be a faulty switch. Utilize the hot-swappable feature to replace the switch.
• Unexpected behavior: Perform a factory reset by pressing FN + Tab. This will revert all settings to default.
