4. Setup

4.1. Charging the Camera

Before initial use, ensure the camera's internal battery is sufficiently charged. The solar panel will maintain the charge, but a full initial charge is recommended.

4.2. App Installation and Account Creation

1. Download the Ubox app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Open the Ubox app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and log in.

4.3. Camera Pairing

1. Power on the camera. The camera will emit voice prompts to guide you through the pairing process.
2. In the Ubox app, select "Add Device" and choose your camera model.
3. Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz WiFi network. Note: 5GHz WiFi networks are not supported.
4. Once connected, the camera will confirm successful pairing.

4.4. Physical Installation

Choose a location with good WiFi signal and direct sunlight exposure for the solar panel. Use the provided mounting brackets and screws for secure installation.

1. Use the positioning sticker to mark drill holes on the desired mounting surface.
2. Drill holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
3. Attach the mounting bracket securely using the provided screws.
4. Mount the camera onto the bracket.
5. Attach the solar panel to a location where it receives maximum sunlight, ensuring the cable reaches the camera's charging port. Adjust the solar panel angle for optimal sun exposure.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Live View and PTZ Control

Open the Ubox app and select your camera to access the live view. Use the on-screen controls to pan (355° horizontal) and tilt (100° vertical) the camera, and use digital zoom (4x) to focus on specific areas.

5.2. Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera uses PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection to identify human movement. When motion is detected, the camera can:

• Send instant notifications to your Ubox app.
• Activate an audible alarm.
• Flash its built-in spotlight.

You can customize detection zones within the app to reduce false alarms and focus on critical areas.
