3. Setup

3.1 Initial Assembly and Power

Unfold the MOTA stand to its upright position. Ensure the device is charged using the provided USB-C cable. The built-in 2550mAh battery provides up to 8 hours of use.

3.2 iPhone Pairing

The MOTA stand is MFi certified, allowing for instant magnetic connection and pairing with your iPhone. Simply snap your iPhone onto the magnetic mount. Your iPhone will recognize the MOTA stand and prompt for pairing. Follow the on-screen instructions for one-tap NFC pairing. This eliminates the need for complex Bluetooth setup.

3.3 Remote Control Pairing

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Auto Face Tracking

Once your iPhone is mounted and paired, the MOTA stand will automatically begin face tracking. It offers 360-degree pan and 90-degree tilt movements to keep you in frame. The stand utilizes gaze-active framing, dynamically optimizing the frame based on your eye movement.

4.2 Remote Control Functions

4.3 Apple Watch Control

For added convenience, you can control the MOTA stand and your iPhone's camera directly from your Apple Watch. This allows you to switch lenses, adjust focus, and select tracking targets hands-free.

4.4 App Compatibility and Background Mode

The MOTA stand supports face tracking across various video applications, including TikTok, YouTube, FaceTime, Teams, and Blackmagic Camera. With iOS 26 background mode, the stand continues tracking even when you are not actively using a camera app, allowing for multitasking.

4.5 Automatic Standby and Wake

To conserve battery, the MOTA stand automatically enters standby mode after 8 seconds if no iPhone is detected. It instantly wakes up when an iPhone is magnetically attached.
