Setup
1. Battery Installation and Charging
- Ensure the radio is powered off.
- Align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks securely.
- To charge, place the radio with the battery installed into the charger base. Connect the charger base to a power outlet (110-220 Volts). The charging indicator light will typically show red while charging and turn green when fully charged.
- For initial use, charge the battery for at least 4-5 hours.
2. Antenna Attachment
- Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
3. Powering On/Off
- To power on, rotate the volume/power knob (usually on top of the radio) clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates.
- To power off, rotate the volume/power knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the display turns off.

- Use the up/down arrow buttons on the keypad or the navigation cluster to scroll through available channels or frequencies.
- Press the 'MENU' button to access the menu for advanced settings, including frequency input or channel memory.
- The 'VFO/MR' button typically switches between Frequency Mode (VFO) and Memory Channel Mode (MR).
3. Transmitting and Receiving
- To transmit, press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.
- Ensure you are on an appropriate channel and within range of the other party.
