- Connect the USB charging cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
- Connect the drone battery to the charging cable.
- The indicator light on the USB charger will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Charging typically takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Do not overcharge.
2. Installing Batteries in the Remote Control
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Insert 3x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
3. Installing the Drone Battery
- Locate the battery compartment on the drone.
- Carefully insert the charged Li-Po battery into the compartment.
- Connect the battery connector to the drone's power port.
- Close the battery compartment.
4. Assembling the Racing Track
The 24-piece racing track can be assembled in various configurations. Connect the track pieces by aligning the connectors and snapping them together. Ensure all connections are secure for a stable track.
Operation
1. Pairing the Drone and Remote Control
- Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
- Turn on the drone's power switch. The drone's LED lights will flash.
- Turn on the remote control using the "OFF/ON" switch.
- Push the left joystick (throttle) fully up, then fully down. The drone's LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
2. Basic Flight Controls (Mode 2)
- Left Joystick (Throttle/Yaw):
- Up/Down: Increase/Decrease altitude (Throttle)
- Left/Right: Rotate drone left/right (Yaw)
- Right Joystick (Pitch/Roll):
- Up/Down: Move drone forward/backward (Pitch)
- Left/Right: Move drone left/right (Roll)
3. Special Functions and Modes
- One Key Take-off/Land: Press the "One Key Take-off/Land" button to automatically launch or land the drone.
- Speed Settings: Press the "Speed / Calibrating the Gyro" button to cycle through three speed modes (low, medium, high).
- Headless Mode: Press the "Headless" button to activate headless mode. In this mode, the drone's orientation is relative to the pilot, regardless of its actual front direction. Press again to exit.
- Auto Stabilization: The drone features automatic stabilization for easier flight control.
- Bounce Function: This feature allows the drone to recover from minor impacts or interact with surfaces.
- 360-Degree Stunts (Flip): Press the "Flip" button, then move the right joystick in the desired direction to perform a 360-degree flip.
- Circle Fly: Press the "Circle Fly" button to initiate an automatic circular flight pattern.
- LED Lighting: Press the "LED OFF/ON" button to toggle the drone's LED lights.
- Trim Adjustments (F Trim, B Trim, L Trim, R Trim): Use these buttons to fine-tune the drone's stability if it drifts in any direction during hover.
- Emergency Stop: Long press the "Emergency Stop" button to immediately cut power to the motors. Use only in emergency situations.
4. Track Mode (Ground Operation)
Press the "Track mode" button to switch the drone into ground racing mode. In this mode, the propellers may still spin at a lower speed to provide thrust, while the drone uses its wheels (if present, or glides) to navigate the track. Use the joysticks for steering and acceleration similar to an RC car.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
- Battery Care:
- Always disconnect the battery from the drone after use.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Do not store fully charged or completely depleted batteries for extended periods. Charge to approximately 50% for long-term storage.
- Propeller Replacement: If propellers are damaged, replace them with genuine Amewi spare parts. Ensure correct propeller orientation (A and B propellers).
- Storage: When not in use, store the drone and its components in a safe place to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drone does not respond to remote control. | Not paired; low battery in remote or drone. | Re-pair drone and remote; replace remote batteries; charge drone battery. |
| Drone drifts during flight. | Gyro not calibrated; trim settings incorrect. | Place drone on a flat surface and recalibrate gyro (long press "Speed / Calibrating the Gyro" button); use trim buttons to adjust. |
| Short flight time. | Battery not fully charged; aging battery. | Ensure battery is fully charged; consider replacing the battery if it's old. |
| Drone crashes frequently. | Inexperienced pilot; strong winds; damaged propellers. | Practice in open areas; avoid flying in windy conditions; check and replace damaged propellers. |
