The SMACO S300 Plus offers multiple methods for refilling. Always ensure the tank is securely connected and follow safety guidelines for each method.
- Local Dive Shop: The SMACO scuba tank meets DOT standards and can be filled at certified local dive shops.
- SMACO 8mm Refill Adapter: Connect to a standard scuba tank to refill your SMACO S300 Plus. This method is fast, taking approximately 4 seconds.
- SMACO High Pressure Hand Pump: This is a backup inflation method. It requires manual effort and takes about 30 minutes to fill the 0.5L tank to 200 bar (3000 PSI).
- SMACO Air Compressor: This automated method allows you to fill your 0.5L diving tank in about 11 minutes without manual effort.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
After each use, rinse the tank and regulator thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and other debris. Allow all components to air dry completely before storage.
3.2 Storage
Store the tank in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the tank is partially filled (around 500 PSI) to prevent moisture from entering.
3.3 O-Ring Inspection
Regularly inspect all O-rings for cracks, tears, or signs of wear. Replace damaged O-rings immediately using the provided spare parts or genuine SMACO replacements.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Air Leakage
If you detect air leakage, first check all connections for tightness. Inspect O-rings for damage or improper seating. Replace any worn or damaged O-rings. Ensure the pressure relief valve is fully closed after filling.
4.2 Difficulty Filling
If the tank is difficult to fill, ensure the filling adapter or pump is correctly connected and sealed. Verify that the pressure relief valve on the tank is closed. If using a hand pump, ensure it is properly assembled and lubricated. If using an air compressor, check power connections and settings.
