4.2 Installation Steps (General Overview)
- Preparation: Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before beginning installation.
- Access Infotainment System: Carefully remove the necessary trim panels to access the rear of the Volvo Sensus infotainment screen and head unit.
- Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the provided wiring harness between the original car harness and the head unit. This typically involves disconnecting the original cables and inserting the new harness in-line.
- CANBus Connection: Identify and connect to the required CANBus signal wires. This step is critical and may require specific knowledge of your Volvo model's wiring diagram. Note: This module requires tapping into two CANBus signal wires, which is not a purely "plug-and-play" connection. Incorrect connection can lead to system malfunctions.
- Module Connection: Connect the wiring harness, USB cable, and WiFi antenna to the ISUDAR V2 module.
- Secure Module: Find a suitable, secure location behind the dashboard to mount the module, ensuring it does not interfere with other components or vehicle operation.
- Reassemble: Carefully reassemble all trim panels.
- Test Functionality: Reconnect the battery and test all functions of the original Sensus system and the newly installed ISUDAR module.
Warning: Incorrect installation, especially regarding CANBus connections, can damage your vehicle's electrical system. If you are not confident in performing this installation, seek assistance from a qualified automotive technician.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ISUDAR V2 module, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
7.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- No Display / Black Screen:
- Verify all wiring connections, especially the LVDS cable and power supply to the module.
- Ensure the system is correctly switched to the module's interface (refer to Section 5.1).
- No Audio / Poor Audio Quality:
- Ensure your phone is paired directly with the Volvo's original Bluetooth for optimal audio (V2 upgrade feature).
- Check volume levels on both your phone and the car's infotainment system.
- Verify all audio connections are secure.
- CarPlay / Android Auto Not Connecting:
- Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
- Forget the device from your phone's Bluetooth settings and attempt to re-pair.
- Restart both your phone and the car's infotainment system.
- Confirm the module is receiving power.
- Map Routes Appear Off-Center:
- This is a known compatibility limitation with some Volvo vertical displays and is not a malfunction. Manual adjustment or alternative navigation apps may help.
- Automatic Day/Night Mode Not Working:
- This feature is not supported. Manual switching is required.
- Original Rear Camera Not Displaying:
- Ensure the camera is the original factory-installed unit. Aftermarket cameras are not supported.
- Check the camera's connection to the module.
- Unclear Dip Switch Functionality:
- The dip switches on the module are typically used for configuring compatibility with different car models or screen resolutions. Refer to the specific installation guide provided with your module for the correct dip switch settings for your Volvo model. Incorrect settings can lead to display issues.
If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact ISUDAR customer support for further assistance.
