Safety Information
Operating heavy machinery requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Failure to follow these guidelines can result in serious injury or death.
- Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and sturdy footwear.
- Ensure the operating area is clear of personnel, animals, and obstacles before starting and during operation.
- Familiarize yourself with all controls, emergency stops, and machine functions before attempting to operate the excavator.
- Never operate the excavator under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that may impair your judgment or reaction time.
- Be aware of the machine's stability, especially when working on slopes, uneven terrain, or when lifting heavy loads.
- Maintain a safe distance from power lines, underground utilities, and other structures.
- Important Unloading Note: This machine weighs approximately 2205 pounds (1 ton). A forklift or equivalent heavy lifting equipment is required for safe unloading. Confirm availability of such equipment or arrange for delivery to a location with a loading dock.
Setup and Initial Inspection
Before the first use and at the beginning of each work shift, perform a thorough inspection of the excavator.
- Visual Inspection: Check for any visible damage, loose fasteners, or missing components.
- Fluid Levels: Verify engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and fuel (Gasoline) levels are within the recommended range.
- Hydraulic System: Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, and connections for leaks or damage.
- Tracks: Check the condition and tension of the rubber tracks.
- Safety Devices: Ensure all safety guards, covers, and warning decals are in place and legible.
- Attachments: Confirm the hydraulic thumb and bucket are securely attached and in good working order.

Operating Instructions
The AGT-MX12-B Mini Excavator is equipped with a pilot control system for precise and responsive operation, suitable for various tasks including digging, trenching, and landscaping.
Starting the Engine
- Ensure the excavator is on level ground and the parking brake is engaged.
- Turn the ignition key to the 'ON' position.
- Follow the specific engine starting procedure outlined in the engine manufacturer's manual.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before engaging hydraulic functions.
Controls Overview
Familiarize yourself with the joystick controls and foot pedals for various functions:
- Left Joystick: Typically controls the swing of the upper structure and the arm movement.
- Right Joystick: Typically controls the boom movement and the bucket curl.
- Travel Levers/Pedals: Control forward and reverse movement of the tracks. The travel speed is 0-2 km/h.
- Bulldozer Blade Control: Operates the front blade for leveling, backfilling, and stabilizing the machine.
- Hydraulic Thumb Control: Engages and disengages the non-hydraulic thumb for gripping materials.
Digging Operations
To begin digging, position the excavator appropriately. Use a combination of boom, arm, and bucket controls to achieve the desired digging depth and angle. The maximum digging depth is 1764 mm.

Using the Hydraulic Thumb
The integrated hydraulic thumb is designed to assist in gripping and moving various materials such as logs, rocks, or debris. Coordinate its operation with the bucket to secure and transport items efficiently.
Maintenance
Regular and proper maintenance is essential for the longevity, reliability, and safe operation of your AGT-MX12-B Mini Excavator.
- Daily Checks: Before each use, inspect for loose fasteners, leaks, and any signs of damage. Check all fluid levels (engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant).
- Engine Maintenance: Refer to the engine manufacturer's manual for specific service intervals for oil changes, air filter cleaning, and spark plug inspection. The engine is a 13.5 HP Gasoline-powered unit.
- Hydraulic System: Keep hydraulic fluid clean and at the correct level. Inspect hoses and fittings regularly for wear or leaks. The rated set pressure is 16 MPa, and the main pump maximum flow is 21.6 L/min.
- Track System: Keep the tracks clean from debris and regularly check their tension. Adjust as necessary to prevent premature wear.
- Greasing: Lubricate all pivot points, pins, and grease fittings according to the recommended schedule to reduce friction and wear.
- Cleaning: Keep the machine clean, especially around the engine and hydraulic components, to prevent overheating and contamination.
