3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the speaker.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-C cable to the speaker and to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
  3. The battery indicator light will show charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

3.2 Initial Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Press and hold the power button () for 1.5 seconds to turn on the speaker.
  2. Press the Bluetooth button () to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "EDIFIER QD25" from the list of devices.
  5. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will remain solid.

3.3 Wireless Stereo Pairing (TWS)

To achieve a wider stereo soundstage, two Edifier QD25 speakers can be paired together.

  1. Ensure both QD25 speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth devices.
  2. On one speaker (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the Bluetooth button () for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a prompt indicating TWS pairing mode.
  3. The primary speaker will automatically search for the secondary speaker.
  4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the Bluetooth indicator lights on both speakers will synchronize.
  5. Now, connect your device to the primary QD25 speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 3.2. Audio will play in stereo through both speakers.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Controls

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button () for 1.5 seconds.
  • Volume Control: Press the '+' button to increase volume, '-' button to decrease volume.
  • Play/Pause: Short press the power button () during playback.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the '+' button for 1.5 seconds.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the '-' button for 1.5 seconds.
  • Bluetooth Mode: Short press the Bluetooth button () to switch between connected Bluetooth devices (multi-point connectivity).
  • USB/Bluetooth Input Switch: Short press the USB/Bluetooth switch button (looks like USB symbol with Bluetooth symbol) to toggle between USB audio input and Bluetooth input.

4.2 Light Effects

The QD25 features customizable RGB lighting. You can cycle through 7 preset effects or customize them via the app.

  • Cycle Light Effects: Short press the light button (💡) to switch between the 7 preset RGB lighting effects.
  • Customize Effects: Use the EDIFIER ConneX or TempoHub applications to create unique color combinations and synchronize lights with music rhythm.
