Package Contents

Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your DRUMCO MERCURY II - SL PAD electronic drum kit:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out.

Operating Instructions

Sound Module (DSP-5002)

The DSP-5002 sound module is the central control unit for your electronic drum kit. It features a 128 x 64 pixel LCD screen for navigation and various controls for sound customization.

• Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn the module on or off.
• Navigation: Use the directional buttons (up, down, left, right) and ENTER button to navigate through menus and select options on the LCD screen.
• Drum Kits:
  • Preset Kits: Access 52 pre-configured drum kits.
  • User Kits: Store up to 20 customized drum kits.
• Instruments: Select from 948 sounds, including acoustic drums, electronic drums, percussion, and special effects.
• Integrated Songs: Practice with 15 built-in accompaniment tracks.
• DSP Effects: Apply Reverb, Equalization (EQ), Tone, and Panning (PAN) to shape your sound.
• Tempo Control: Adjust the tempo between 20 and 260 BPM for practice.
• Volume Controls: Adjust MASTER, AUX IN, and PHONES volumes using the dedicated knobs. Individual drum element volumes can be adjusted via the GROUP FADERS.

• USB Type B Port: Connect to a computer for MIDI data transfer or recording.
• DB25 Data Input: Multi-pin connector that facilitates expansion.
• AUX Input (3.5 mm): Connect external audio devices (phones, MP3 players, computers) to play along with music.
• Headphone Output (6.35 mm): For silent practice.
• L/Mono and R Audio Outputs (6.35 mm): Connect to sound systems, monitors, or recording interfaces.
• MIDI In/Out: Use the module as a MIDI controller or receive MIDI signals from other devices.
• Additional Expansion Inputs (6.35 mm): For adding an extra tom (TOM4) and a second crash cymbal (CRASH2).

Maintenance

• Cleaning:

  • Ensure all cables are neatly routed and not tangled or pinched. This prevents damage and ensures reliable connections.
  • Avoid excessive bending or pulling on cables.
