4.3 Mounting Options
Refer to the diagram below for visual guidance on each installation method.

Figure 4: Diagram illustrating the three installation methods: Bar Mount, Ceiling Mount (Wire Rope Hoisting), and Direct Beam Mount.
4.3.1 Wire Rope Hoisting (Ceiling Mount)
- Attach the mounting brackets to the fan unit using the provided screws.
- Secure the adjustable load-bearing wires to the ceiling structure.
- Pass the wires through the mounting brackets on the fan unit.
- Adjust the wire length to suspend the fan at the desired height and level.
4.3.2 Adjustable Frame Mount
- Assemble the adjustable frame to fit the desired space (e.g., between joists or within a cabinet). The frame is extendable from 11.41" to 22".
- Secure the frame to the mounting surface using appropriate screws.
- Place the fan unit within the frame and secure it using the provided hardware.
4.3.3 Direct Beam Mount
- Position the fan unit directly against a sturdy beam or flat surface.
- Secure the fan unit to the beam using appropriate screws through the designated mounting points.
Note: Ducts and grilles are not included and must be purchased separately for a complete ventilation system.
5. Operating Instructions
The fan is controlled via the included wall-mounted touch remote control panel.

Figure 5: The wall-mounted touch remote control panel for operating the fan.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button on the remote to turn the unit on or off.
- Mode Selection: The fan supports two modes:
- Air Purification Mode (210 CFM): Engages the 3-stage filtration system for air cleaning.
- Powerful Exhaust Mode (340 CFM): Operates without the filter for maximum airflow and odor/moisture removal.
- Fan Speed Adjustment: The remote control allows for 5-speed adjustment of the fan. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to increase or decrease the fan speed.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your GROWNEER inline exhaust fan.
- Filter Replacement: The downward-facing filter door allows for easy access. Replace the HEPA and activated carbon filters periodically based on usage and air quality. Refer to the filter manufacturer's recommendations for replacement intervals.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the fan unit with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ductwork Inspection: Inspect connected ductwork for any blockages, leaks, or damage that could impede airflow.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GROWNEER inline exhaust fan, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Fan does not turn on | No power supply; loose wiring; remote control battery low. | Check power connection and circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections. Replace remote control batteries. |
| Reduced airflow | Clogged filters; blocked ductwork; incorrect mode selection. | Inspect and replace filters if necessary. Check ductwork for obstructions. Ensure fan is in the desired operating mode. |
| Unusual noise or vibration | Loose mounting; foreign object in fan; motor issue. | Ensure the fan is securely mounted. Power off and inspect for foreign objects. If noise persists, contact customer support. |
| Remote control not responding | Battery low or dead; signal interference; remote out of range. | Replace remote batteries. Reduce interference sources. Ensure remote is within effective range (up to 15m, may vary through walls/ceilings). |
