1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all instructions before beginning installation. Failure to follow these instructions could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Disconnect power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box before installation or servicing. Ensure all electrical connections comply with local codes and ordinances.
  • Mounting: The ceiling fan must be mounted to a ceiling joist or support structure capable of supporting a minimum of 35 lbs (15.9 kg). Use only the hardware provided with the fan.
  • Blade Clearance: Ensure there is at least 7 feet (2.1 meters) of clearance from the floor to the bottom edge of the fan blades. Maintain a minimum of 30 inches (76 cm) from the blade tips to any walls or obstructions.
  • Wiring: All wiring must be performed by a qualified electrician or according to national and local electrical codes.
  • Light Bulbs: Use only E26 base bulbs as specified. Do not exceed the maximum wattage indicated on the light fixture.

4. Setup & Installation

4.1 Pre-Installation

  • Turn off power at the circuit breaker.
  • Ensure the mounting location can support the fan's weight.
  • Unpack all components and inspect for damage.

4.2 Mounting the Fan

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Select the appropriate downrod length (5-inch, 10-inch, or 15-inch) for your ceiling height. For sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees, use the angled mounting option.
  3. Feed the electrical wires from the fan motor through the chosen downrod.
  4. Insert the downrod into the motor housing and secure it with the provided pin and screw.
  5. Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket.

4.3 Wiring Connections

Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to the wiring diagram in the full manual. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with wire nuts.

  • Connect the Black (Live) wire from the fan to the Black (Live) wire from the ceiling.
  • Connect the White (Neutral) wire from the fan to the White (Neutral) wire from the ceiling.
  • Connect the Green/Bare Copper (Ground) wire from the fan to the Green/Bare Copper (Ground) wire from the ceiling.
  • For separate light control, the light wires can be connected to a separate switch circuit if available and desired. Refer to the detailed wiring diagram.

4.4 Attaching Blades and Light Kit

  1. Attach each fan blade to the motor housing using the provided screws. The blades are reversible, offering a walnut (rustic) or light oak (modern) finish. Choose your preferred side before attachment.
  2. Install two E26 base light bulbs (not included) into the light kit sockets.
  3. Attach the seeded glass lampshade to the light kit by twisting it onto the permanently mounted set screws.
  4. Secure the light kit assembly to the bottom of the motor housing.

5. Operating Instructions

The Fanbulous 72-inch ceiling fan is operated using the included remote control.

5.1 Remote Control Functions

  • Power On/Off: Press the fan button to turn the fan on or off. Press the light button to turn the light on or off.
  • Fan Speed: Use the '1' through '6' buttons to select desired fan speed. '1' is the lowest speed, '6' is the highest.
  • Reverse Function: Press the reverse button to change the direction of blade rotation. This function is used to switch between summer (downward airflow) and winter (upward airflow) modes.
  • Timer Settings: Press the '1H', '4H', or '8H' buttons to set the fan to automatically turn off after 1, 4, or 8 hours, respectively. Press the 'Cancel Timer' button to deactivate the timer.
  • Mute: Press the 'Remote Controller Mute' button to silence the remote's beeping sounds.

5.2 Summer and Winter Modes

The reversible DC motor allows for year-round comfort:

  • Summer Mode (Counter-clockwise): Blades rotate counter-clockwise, pushing air downwards to create a cooling breeze.
  • Winter Mode (Clockwise): Blades rotate clockwise, drawing air upwards to circulate warm air trapped near the ceiling, helping to distribute heat more evenly.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your ceiling fan.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the fan blades and motor housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Light Kit: Clean the seeded glass lampshade with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing light bulbs. Use only E26 base bulbs.
  • Tighten Fasteners: Check all screws and fasteners annually to ensure they are secure.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your fan, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
