3. Setup
3.1. Outdoor Sensor Installation
The outdoor sensor is designed for easy installation and provides accurate data. Ensure the sensor is placed in an open area, away from obstructions like buildings, trees, or high voltage lines, to ensure reliable data transmission.
Battery Installation
The outdoor sensor requires 3 AA batteries (not included). Use the provided screwdriver to open the battery compartment, insert the batteries, and securely close the compartment. The rubber gasket ensures water resistance.
Mounting Precautions
When installing the outdoor sensor, ensure the 'S' sign on the unit is aimed correctly:
- If located in the northern hemisphere, aim the 'S' sign at the South.
- If located in the southern hemisphere, aim the 'S' sign at the North.
This ensures accurate wind direction readings.

3.2. Display Console Setup
Connect the provided power adapter to the display console and plug it into a power outlet. For backup power during outages, you can install 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the back of the console.
3.3. Pairing Outdoor Sensor with Display Console
To establish communication between the outdoor sensor and the display console:
- On the display console, long press the TEMP button for 3 seconds. The display will clear, and a search icon will begin to flash, indicating it's searching for the outdoor sensor.
- On the outdoor sensor, locate the RESET button (usually near the battery compartment) and press it. An LED light on the sensor will blink.
- The console and sensor will begin pairing. Once successfully paired, the search icon on the display will stop flashing, and weather data will appear.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Display Overview
The 6.5-inch HD color LCD provides a clear, at-a-glance view of all critical weather metrics. The display is organized into several sections:


- Wind Section: Wind direction, gust speed, and average wind speed.
- Weather Forecast: Icons indicating predicted weather conditions.
- Barometric Pressure: Current air pressure readings.
- Moon Phase: Current moon phase display.
- Outdoor Sensor Data: Temperature, humidity, dew point, and 'feels like' temperature.
- Indoor Data: Temperature and humidity.
- Rainfall: Hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and total rainfall measurements.
- Time & Date: Current time and date.
4.2. Button Functions
The control buttons are located at the bottom of the display console:
- SET: Press to switch displayed time (year, month, day, second, week). Long press to enter Set Mode.
- TEMP: Press to switch between dew point, feels like, and temperature. Long press to pair indoor and outdoor units.
- RAIN: Press to switch rainfall display (1h, 24h, week, month, total). In Set Mode, press to increase value. Long press to clear rainfall data.
- WIND / +: In Set Mode, press to increase value.
- PRESSURE / -: Press to switch to display pressure (relative/absolute). In Set Mode, press to reduce value.
- ALARM: In Calibration Mode, press to reset. Press to view high & low alert values. Long press to set alarm information.
- MAX/MIN: In Calibration Mode, press to view high & low alert values. Press to view max & min values. Long press to enter Calibration Mode.
- LIGHT/SNOOZE: Press to switch backlight level. Long press to enter Snooze Mode. In other modes, press to exit.
4.3. Setting Time and Date
To set the time and date, long press the SET button to enter Set Mode. Use the RAIN and PRESSURE buttons to adjust values, and the SET button to confirm and move to the next setting. You can set the 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, date format (month/day or day/month), month, day, and year.
4.4. Changing Units of Measurement
In Set Mode, you can also change the units for various measurements:
- Temperature: Switch between °C and °F.
- Barometric Pressure: Switch between inHg and hPa.
- Rainfall: Switch between inch and mm.
- Wind Speed: Switch between mph, knots, bft, m/s, and km/h.
4.5. Snooze Mode and Backlight
Press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button to cycle through different backlight brightness levels. Long press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button to activate or deactivate Snooze Mode, which turns off the backlight after a short period.
4.6. Alarms and Alerts
The weather station supports customizable alerts for various weather conditions. Long press the ALARM button to enter alarm setting mode. You can set high and low alerts for temperature, humidity, and pressure. When an alert condition is met, the display will flash and an audible alarm will sound.

4.7. Max/Min Values
Press the MAX/MIN button to view the recorded maximum and minimum values for temperature, humidity, and other metrics. To clear these records, long press the RAIN button while viewing the respective data.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Rain Collector
Regularly check and clean the rain collector funnel to prevent debris (leaves, insects) from obstructing the measurement mechanism. This ensures accurate rainfall readings.
5.2. Battery Replacement
- Outdoor Sensor: Replace the 3 AA batteries approximately every 12 months, or when the low battery indicator appears on the display console.
- Display Console: If using backup batteries, replace the 3 AAA batteries when the low battery indicator appears.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. No Display on Console
- Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into both the console and a working power outlet.
- If using backup batteries, check if they are correctly installed and not depleted.
6.2. Outdoor Sensor Not Transmitting Data
- Check the batteries in the outdoor sensor and replace them if necessary.
- Press the RESET button on the outdoor sensor.
- Re-initiate the pairing process as described in Section 3.3.
- Ensure the outdoor sensor is within the wireless transmission range and there are no major obstructions.
6.3. Inaccurate Readings
- Temperature/Humidity: Ensure the outdoor sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources, which can skew readings.
- Rainfall: Verify the rain collector is clean and free of debris.
- Wind Direction: Confirm the 'S' sign on the outdoor sensor is correctly oriented (South in Northern Hemisphere, North in Southern Hemisphere).
- Calibration: If readings appear consistently off, refer to the 'Calibration Mode' section in the setup video for instructions on fine-tuning sensor values.
