- To power on the device, press and hold the power button until the LCD screen illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off. The device also features an automatic shutdown function after 30 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Circuit Breaker Identification
This function helps locate the correct circuit breaker for a specific outlet or fixture.
- Connect the Transmitter: Plug the transmitter into the electrical outlet or fixture you wish to trace. Use the appropriate adapter (3-prong to 2-prong, light socket, or alligator clip) if necessary. Ensure the circuit is energized (90-230V AC).
- Activate the Receiver: Turn on the receiver.
- Scan the Breaker Panel: Slowly scan the receiver along the circuit breakers in the electrical panel.
- Identify the Breaker: The receiver will emit an audible beep and display increased signal strength on its LCD screen when it detects the correct circuit breaker. The LED indicator on the receiver will also flash.
- Adjust Sensitivity: If multiple breakers show a signal, adjust the sensitivity level on the receiver (0-9 levels) to narrow down the detection to the strongest signal, indicating the correct breaker.

5.2 GFCI Outlet Testing
The transmitter can test GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets and diagnose common wiring faults.
- Plug in the Transmitter: Insert the transmitter directly into the GFCI outlet to be tested.
- Observe Indicators: The LCD screen and indicator lights on the transmitter will display the wiring status.
- Green Light: Indicates correct wiring.
- Red Light: Indicates an error or damage. The LCD will show specific fault codes (e.g., Missing Ground, Missing Neutral, Open Hot, Live/Neutral Reversed, Live/Ground Reversed).
- Perform GFCI Trip Test: Press the "GFCI" button on the transmitter. A working GFCI outlet should trip, cutting power to the outlet. Reset the GFCI outlet after testing.

5.3 Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection
The receiver can detect AC voltage without direct contact, enhancing safety when working with electrical systems.
- Activate NCV: Turn on the receiver. The NCV function is typically active by default or can be toggled with a dedicated button.
- Approach Voltage Source: Bring the tip of the receiver close to an insulated wire, outlet, or other potential AC voltage source.
- Detect Voltage: If AC voltage is present, the receiver will emit an audible beep and its LED indicator will flash. The intensity of the beeping and flashing may increase as you get closer to the voltage source.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | Low battery or device is off. | Charge the device using the Type-C cable. Press and hold the power button to turn on. |
| Cannot find the correct circuit breaker. | Transmitter not properly connected or circuit not energized. Sensitivity setting too low/high. | Ensure the transmitter is securely plugged into an energized outlet. Adjust the receiver's sensitivity level. Scan slowly. |
| GFCI test fails to trip. | GFCI outlet is faulty or not a GFCI type. | Verify the outlet is a functional GFCI. If it is, the GFCI outlet may require replacement or professional inspection. |
| Inaccurate NCV readings. | Interference from other electrical fields or incorrect usage. | Ensure no other strong electrical fields are nearby. Hold the receiver correctly, with the tip near the suspected voltage source. |
| LCD display is dim or unreadable. | Low battery or strong ambient light. | Charge the device. The backlit screen should improve visibility in strong light, but direct sunlight can still affect readability. |
