Setup

1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert the included AA battery. Ensure correct polarity.
2. Download the App: Search for "HomGar" in your device's app store (iOS or Android) and download it.
3. Register/Log In: Create an account or log in to the HomGar app.
4. Add Device: In the HomGar app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner. Select "HCS701B" and follow the on-screen instructions to enter pairing mode.
5. Pairing: Pull out the insulating strip on the device. The red light on the front shell will flash slowly. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and wait for the connection to succeed.

Operating Instructions

Once paired, the device will display real-time temperature and humidity readings on its LCD screen. You can also access more detailed information and settings through the HomGar app.

Reading the Device Display:

• The top number indicates the current temperature (in °C or °F).
• The bottom number indicates the current relative humidity (in %).
• Indicators for DRY, COM (Comfort), and WET show the humidity level status.

Using the HomGar App:

• View real-time temperature and humidity.
• Access historical data and trend graphs for up to 2 years.
• Set custom alerts for temperature and humidity thresholds.
• Manage multiple BaldrTherm devices simultaneously.

Data Storage & Alerts

The device stores up to 2 years of temperature and humidity data, accessible and exportable via the HomGar app. You can configure custom alerts to receive instant notifications on your smartphone when readings exceed or fall below your set parameters. This feature is crucial for maintaining specific environmental conditions.

Power & Battery

• Battery Replacement: Although solar-powered, the device uses an AA battery. Replace the battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display or in the app. Ensure to use a fresh AA battery.
• Solar Panel: Keep the solar panel clean and free from obstructions to ensure optimal charging.

Troubleshooting

• Device Not Connecting to App:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  • Make sure the device is within the 262ft/80m Bluetooth range of your phone.
  • Check if the battery is properly installed and has sufficient charge.
  • Restart the app and try pairing again.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  • Ensure the device is placed in a location free from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect readings.
  • Allow the device to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after placement or battery change.
  • Refer to the "Sensor Correction" option in the app settings if persistent discrepancies are observed.
• No Display:
  • Check the battery. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure the insulating strip has been removed from the battery compartment.
