3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Physical Installation

The Lian Li RS1000G PSU offers flexible installation options to accommodate various PC case layouts.

Rotatable AC Inlet

The PSU features a dual-sided 90° rotatable AC inlet. This design allows the power connection to face either the rear or the side of the case, reducing cable clutter and strain, especially in compact builds.

3.2 Cable Connections

Connect the necessary modular cables from the PSU to your motherboard, GPU, and other components. Ensure each cable is firmly seated.

Dual-Color 12V-2x6 Cable

The native 12V-2x6 cable is designed for modern GPUs, supporting high transient loads. Its dual-color design and upgraded welded terminals aid in correct and secure connection, enhancing safety and stability.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Lian Li RS1000G power supply, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the AC power cord is securely connected to both the PSU and the wall outlet. Verify the PSU's power switch is in the 'ON' position. Check all modular cable connections to the motherboard and components.
  • System Instability/Crashes: Ensure all power cables are correctly and firmly connected. Verify that your system's power requirements do not exceed the PSU's 1000W capacity. Test components individually if possible to isolate the issue.
  • Fan Noise: While designed for quiet operation, excessive fan noise might indicate dust buildup. Refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning instructions.
  • Burning Smell/Smoke: Immediately power off and unplug the system. Do not attempt to restart. Contact customer support for assistance.
