4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Controls and Display
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and the information displayed on the 3.5-inch LCD screen. The screen typically shows the thermal image, temperature readings (max, min, center spot), battery status, and selected palette.
4.2 Temperature Measurement
Point the camera at the object or area you wish to measure. The device will automatically display the temperature distribution. The TR120 features automatic tracking and warning for high and low temperatures within its -20°C to 400°C range.
4.3 Color Palettes
The TR120 offers 6 different color palettes to visualize thermal images. These palettes help in distinguishing temperature differences more clearly depending on the application and user preference.

Figure 4.1: The TR120 display showcasing six distinct color palettes: High Resolution Rainbow, Hot Red, Lava, Rainbow, Iron Oxide Red, and White Heat. Each palette offers a different visual representation of temperature gradients, enhancing clarity for various inspection tasks.
To change the color palette, navigate through the menu options using the device's buttons until you find the palette selection. Choose the palette that best suits your viewing needs.
4.4 Dual Camera Mode (Infrared & Visible Light)
The TR120 integrates both an infrared thermal imager and a visible light camera. This allows for a blended image display, combining the thermal data with visual details for better context and identification of heat sources.

Figure 4.2: The TR120's capability to display both infrared light imaging (top) and visible light imaging (bottom). This dual-mode functionality allows users to overlay thermal data onto a real-world visual, providing enhanced context for inspections.
Access this mode through the device's menu to switch between pure infrared, visible light, or a blended image.
4.5 Hot/Cold Spot Tracking
The device automatically identifies and tracks the hottest and coldest points within the field of view, displaying their temperatures on the screen. This feature is crucial for quickly identifying anomalies.
4.6 Using the Powerful LED Light
For inspections in dimly lit or dark areas, activate the built-in powerful LED light. This ensures safe operation and provides necessary illumination for the visible light camera.
4.7 USB Communication and PC Analysis Software
Connect the TR120 to a computer using the USB Type-C cable to transfer captured images and data. The device supports PC analysis software (available separately or via manufacturer's website) for in-depth thermal image analysis and reporting.
4.8 Typical Applications
The TR120 is suitable for a variety of professional and DIY applications:
