1. Introduction
The Cudy C200P is a versatile hardware AP controller and VPN router designed for efficient network management. It offers centralized control for up to 200 access points, advanced VPN capabilities, and flexible power options. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your C200P device.

3. Hardware Overview

Front Panel
- USB 3.0 Port: For connecting external storage devices to create a network storage and file-sharing hub.
- Reset Button: Used to restore factory default settings.
- LAN (PoE Out) Ports (1-4): Four Gigabit Ethernet ports that provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) output to connected devices when the C200P is powered via DC input.
- WAN (PoE In) Port (5): One Gigabit Ethernet port for connecting to your internet service provider (ISP) modem. This port also supports PoE input to power the C200P, disabling PoE output on LAN ports 1-4.
- LED Indicators:
- Left LED (System): Indicates system status.
- Right LED (PoE Active): Indicates PoE activity on the LAN ports.
Rear Panel
- DC Power Input: For connecting the included power adapter. Provides 55W total PoE output when used.
4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Cudy C200P.
4.1 Physical Connection
- Connect your ISP modem to the WAN (PoE In) port (Port 5) on the Cudy C200P using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect your computer or other network devices to the LAN (PoE Out) ports (Ports 1-4) using an Ethernet cable.
- If you are using DC power, connect the provided power adapter to the DC power input port and plug it into a power outlet. If you are powering the C200P via PoE through the WAN port, skip this step.
- Power on the Cudy C200P. The system LED indicator will light up.
4.2 Initial Configuration
- Open a web browser on a computer connected to the C200P's LAN port.
- Enter the default IP address (usually
192.168.1.1or as specified in the Quick Installation Guide) into the address bar and press Enter. - Log in using the default username and password (refer to the Quick Installation Guide for default credentials).
- Follow the on-screen wizard to complete the initial setup, including setting a new administrator password and configuring basic network settings.
5. Operating the Cudy C200P
5.1 AP Controller Functionality
The C200P can centrally manage up to 200 Cudy Access Points (APs).
- AP Discovery: The controller automatically discovers compatible Cudy APs on the network.
- Batch Configuration: Configure SSID, security settings, and other Wi-Fi parameters across multiple APs simultaneously.
- Firmware Upgrades: Perform batch firmware upgrades for all managed APs from a single interface.
- Channel/Power Adjustment: Optimize Wi-Fi performance by adjusting channel and power settings for individual or groups of APs.

5.2 Advanced VPN Router
The C200P supports various VPN protocols for secure remote access and site-to-site tunneling.
- Supported Protocols: WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, and ZeroTier.
- Configuration: Access the VPN settings in the web interface to set up VPN clients or servers.

5.3 Captive Portal
Implement a captive portal for guest networks with dual authentication modes.
- Open Access: Allows guests to connect without a password.
- Local Password Authentication: Requires guests to enter a pre-defined password.
- Customization: Customize the login page for branding or informational purposes.

5.4 USB 3.0 Port
The USB 3.0 port allows you to expand network capabilities.
- Network Storage: Connect an external USB storage device to create a network-attached storage (NAS) solution.
- File Sharing: Share files across your network from the connected USB device.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Firmware Upgrade
Regularly check for and install firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security. Firmware can be updated via the web management interface.
6.2 Reboot Schedule
Configure a reboot schedule for the device to maintain stability and performance.

6.3 Factory Reset
If the device is not functioning correctly, you can restore it to factory default settings by pressing and holding the Reset button for approximately 5-10 seconds while the device is powered on.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Internet Access:
- Check all cable connections between the modem, C200P, and your devices.
- Verify that your ISP modem is working correctly.
- Ensure the WAN port LED is active.
- Restart the modem and the C200P.
- Cannot Access Web Interface:
- Ensure your computer is connected to a LAN port of the C200P.
- Verify your computer's IP settings are set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP).
- Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- If the issue persists, perform a factory reset.
- PoE Output Not Working:
- Ensure the C200P is powered via the DC power adapter, not PoE input on the WAN port.
- Check the PoE Active LED indicator.
- Verify that the connected device is PoE compatible and within the power budget.
