4. Setup and Assembly

4.1 Initial Setup

  1. Unpack all components and remove any packaging materials.
  2. Clean the mixing bowl, attachments (dough hook, flat beater, whisk), and splash guard with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The main unit should be wiped with a damp cloth.
  3. Place the main unit on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure the suction cups on the base are firmly attached to the countertop for stability.

4.2 Attaching the Mixing Bowl

  1. Ensure the mixer is unplugged.
  2. Lift the tilt-head by pushing the tilt-head release lever (located on the side of the mixer) and raising the head until it locks into place.
  3. Place the 6QT stainless steel mixing bowl onto the base, aligning the tabs on the bowl with the slots on the base. Turn the bowl clockwise until it locks securely.

4.3 Attaching Accessories

  1. With the tilt-head still raised, select the desired attachment (dough hook, flat beater, or whisk).
  2. Insert the shaft of the attachment into the attachment port on the underside of the tilt-head. Rotate the attachment counter-clockwise until it clicks into place.
  3. Lower the tilt-head by pushing the tilt-head release lever and gently lowering the head until it locks into its operating position.

4.4 Attaching the Splash Guard

  1. After attaching the bowl and accessory, slide the splash guard onto the tilt-head, ensuring the opening aligns with the attachment shaft.
  2. The splash guard helps prevent ingredients from splattering during mixing and allows for easy addition of ingredients through its chute.

4.5 Ice Cream Maker Attachment Setup

To use the 2QT Ice Cream Maker Attachment:

  1. Freeze the Bowl: Place the 2QT freezer bowl in the freezer for 16-20 hours (or until completely frozen). The bowl should be stored in the freezer at 0°F (-18°C) or colder.
  2. Attach Assembly: Once frozen, remove the 6QT mixing bowl from the mixer. Place the frozen ice cream bowl onto the mixer base, aligning and twisting to lock. Insert the ice cream paddle into the attachment port on the tilt-head and lock it in place.
  3. Add Mix & Blend: Lower the tilt-head. Pour your prepared ice cream mixture into the frozen bowl through the opening in the splash guard.
  4. Mix Till Done: Turn on the mixer to a low speed (Speed 1-3) and let it churn for 20-30 minutes, or until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. Top & Enjoy: Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for a firmer consistency, or serve immediately.
