1. Introduction

This generator is designed to provide clean, reliable power for various applications, including home backup, camping, RV use, tailgating, and emergencies. 2. Safety Information

Always prioritize safety when operating the generator. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury or death.

3. Package Contents

Upon unpacking, ensure all items listed below are present:

4. Setup

4.1 Adding Engine Oil

The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the correct type and amount of oil before the first start.

  1. Place the generator on a level surface.
  2. Remove the side panel by unscrewing the two screws.
  3. Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  4. Using the provided funnel, slowly add 0.35 liters (approximately 11.8 fl oz) of 10W-30 engine oil. Do not overfill.
  5. Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick and secure the side panel.

4.2 Adding Fuel

Use only fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.

  1. Ensure the generator is off and cool.
  2. Unscrew the fuel cap.
  3. Insert the provided gas funnel into the fuel tank opening.
  4. Carefully pour gasoline into the tank, ensuring not to overfill. The tank capacity is 1.1 gallons (4 liters).
  5. Securely replace the fuel cap.

4.3 Initial Start Procedure

Follow these steps for the first start-up:

  1. Ensure the generator is on a level, outdoor surface, away from any obstructions.
  2. Turn the 3-in-1 switch to the 'Start' position.
  3. Pull the recoil start handle firmly until the engine starts.
  4. Once the engine starts, slowly move the 3-in-1 switch to the 'Run' position.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Control Panel Overview

Engage Eco-Mode by switching the Idle Switch to 'ON'. In Eco-Mode, the engine speed automatically adjusts to the load, reducing fuel consumption and noise levels. This is ideal for powering smaller appliances or maintaining a charge.

5.4 Parallel Operation

For increased power output, two Redact 2400W inverter generators can be connected in parallel using a compatible parallel kit (sold separately). This can provide up to 3200W of running power.

  1. Ensure both generators are off and on a level surface.
  2. Connect the parallel cables to the designated parallel ports on both generators.
  3. Start both generators according to the standard starting procedure.
  4. Once both are running, you can connect devices to the parallel kit's outlets.
