Operating Modes
The Coolpie CR220 offers two primary operating modes: Offline Cloning (COPY) and Read & Write (JBOD), selected via a physical switch.

The device features a switch to select between 'COPY' mode for offline cloning and 'JBOD' mode for direct read/write access via computer.
1. Offline Cloning (COPY Mode)
This mode allows you to clone data from a source SSD to a target SSD without needing a computer connection. Ensure both SSDs are of the same protocol (NVMe to NVMe or SATA to SATA).

Detailed steps for offline cloning: Insert SSDs, set the switch to 'COPY', power on, and then long-press the clone button.
Steps for Offline Cloning:
- Insert the Source SSD into slot A and the Target SSD into slot B.
- Ensure the target SSD's capacity is equal to or greater than the source SSD's capacity.
- Set the mode switch on the device to "COPY".
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Long-press the "Clone" button (usually marked with a double-arrow icon) for 5 seconds until the LED indicators begin to flash, indicating the cloning process has started.
- The LED indicators will show the cloning progress (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
- Once all LEDs are solid, the cloning process is complete.

For offline cloning, ensure the target SSD (B) has equal or greater capacity than the source SSD (A). Press and hold the clone button for 5 seconds to initiate the process.
2. Read & Write (JBOD Mode)
In JBOD mode, the docking station acts as an external drive enclosure, allowing your computer to read and write data to the inserted SSDs at high speeds.

Steps for read/write operations: Insert SSDs, set the switch to 'JBOD', power on, and access the drives from your computer.
Steps for Read & Write:
- Insert the M.2 SSD(s) into the desired slot(s).
- Connect the docking station to your computer using the provided USB-C to USB-A cable.
- Set the mode switch on the device to "JBOD".
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Your computer should recognize the inserted SSD(s) as external storage devices.
3. Compatibility and Performance
The Coolpie CR220 supports both M.2 NVMe (M Key) and M.2 SATA (B+M Key) SSDs in various standard sizes (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, 22110). It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

The docking station supports M.2 NVMe (M Key) and M.2 SATA (B+M Key) SSDs in sizes 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110.
With a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 interface, the device achieves theoretical speeds up to 20Gbps for NVMe SSDs and 6Gbps for SATA SSDs, enabling rapid data transfers.

The device offers high-speed data transmission up to 20Gbps, suitable for demanding tasks like video editing.

Achieve high data transfer rates: up to 1735MB/s read and 1644MB/s write for NVMe, and 543MB/s read and 518MB/s write for SATA.
The docking station supports dual 8TB drives, for a total capacity of 16TB, accommodating large data migration projects.

The docking station supports a total capacity of 16TB, with two slots each accommodating up to 8TB SSDs.

The device is compatible with various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, and can be used with PCs, laptops, iPads, smartphones, and PS4.
Important Considerations
Protocol Matching for Cloning
For successful offline cloning, the Coolpie CR220 requires that both the source and target SSDs use the same protocol. This means you must clone NVMe to NVMe, or SATA to SATA. The device cannot mix NVMe and SATA drives in the same cloning operation.

Ensure both source and target SSDs use the same protocol (NVMe to NVMe or SATA to SATA) for cloning. Mixing NVMe and SATA drives is not supported for cloning.

Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Cloning Fails or Data is Not Transferred:
- Ensure both source and target SSDs are of the same protocol (NVMe to NVMe or SATA to SATA). Mixing protocols is not supported for cloning.
- Verify that the target SSD's capacity is equal to or greater than the source SSD's capacity.
- Check for any RAID settings in your computer's BIOS if you are experiencing issues with drive recognition or cloning, especially with certain PC brands. Temporarily disabling RAID might be necessary for cloning, then re-enable it after the process.
- Ensure the clone button is pressed and held for the required 5 seconds to initiate the process.
- Device Not Recognized by Computer:
- Confirm the device is in "JBOD" mode when connected to a computer.
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the docking station and your computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Verify the power adapter is correctly connected and the device is powered on.
- Slow Data Transfer Speeds:
- Ensure your computer's USB port supports USB 3.2 Gen2x2 for optimal speeds. Using a slower USB port will result in reduced performance.
- Confirm you are using the provided high-speed USB cable.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Coolpie CR220, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
- Always safely eject the drives from your computer before disconnecting the docking station in JBOD mode.
