Setup Instructions

1. Battery Installation:

   Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the locomotive. Using a small screwdriver (not included), open the compartment. Insert 3 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment securely.
2. Track Assembly:

   Connect the track sections by aligning the connectors and gently pushing them together until they click into place. You can create various layouts, such as a circular or oval track, using the curved and straight sections. Ensure all connections are firm and flat on a stable surface.

3. Connecting Carriages:

   Attach the coal carriage to the locomotive using the hook design. Then, connect the passenger carriages to the coal carriage and each other in the desired order. Ensure all carriages are securely linked.

4. Adding Water for Smoke (Optional):

   Carefully fill the provided empty water bottle with clean tap water. Locate the small opening on the top of the locomotive (usually near the chimney). Gently squeeze a few drops of water into this opening. Do not overfill. This water will be used to create the realistic smoke effect.
5. Placing the Train on Tracks:

   Carefully place the assembled train (locomotive and carriages) onto the tracks, ensuring all wheels are properly seated within the track grooves.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On:

   Locate the ON/OFF switch on the locomotive (typically on the side or bottom). Slide the switch to the "ON" position. The train's headlights will illuminate, and realistic train sounds will begin.
2. Movement:

   Once powered on, the train will start moving forward along the tracks. It will continue to move as long as the power switch is in the "ON" position and batteries have sufficient charge.

3. Smoke Feature:

   If water was added as per the setup instructions, the locomotive will begin to emit a harmless, realistic smoke effect from its chimney shortly after being powered on.

4. Power Off:

   To stop the train, slide the ON/OFF switch on the locomotive to the "OFF" position. The lights, sounds, and movement will cease.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the train and tracks with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Avoid getting water into the electronic components.
• Battery Replacement: Replace all 3 AA batteries when the train's speed decreases, lights dim, or sounds become distorted. Follow the battery installation steps.
• Storage: When not in use, disassemble the tracks and store all components in their original packaging or a suitable container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries before long-term storage.
