4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Charging Process
- Battery Insertion: Always ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
- Power Source: Use a 5V/3A power source for optimal charging speed. Lower amperage sources may result in slower charging.
- LED Indicators:
- Flashing Green: Batteries are currently charging.
- Solid Green: Batteries are fully charged and ready for use.
- Red: Indicates an abnormal condition such as overheating, voltage issues, or incompatible batteries. Remove batteries and check for issues.
- Charging Time: The charger is designed for quick charging, typically completing a full charge for 1-4 batteries in approximately 2 hours.

- Quad-Protection System: The charger is equipped with comprehensive safeguards against:
- Overcharge
- Over-discharge
- Short-circuit
- Overheating
- General Battery Safety:
- Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, or modify the batteries or charger.
- Do not expose batteries to fire, high temperatures, or direct sunlight.
- Keep batteries and charger away from water and moisture.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- If a battery leaks, avoid contact with skin and eyes. Seek medical attention if contact occurs.
- Dispose of batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the charger and battery terminals. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the batteries in the provided charger case to protect them from dust and damage. Store the charger and batteries in a cool, dry environment.
- Reactivation: These batteries are capable of reactivation even when fully discharged to 0V, ensuring a longer usable life.
- Long-Term Benefits: With 1200 charge cycles and less than 3% monthly self-discharge, these batteries offer significant cost savings and reduce waste compared to disposable batteries. One set can replace up to 4,800 disposable AA batteries over its lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charger LED shows red. | Overheating, voltage issue, or incompatible battery inserted. | Remove all batteries. Ensure only PHILIPS AA lithium batteries are used. Allow charger to cool if it feels warm. Reinsert batteries and try again. If the issue persists, contact support. |
| Batteries not charging (no flashing green LED). | Incorrect battery insertion, faulty cable/power source, or dirty contacts. | Check battery polarity. Ensure Type-C cable is securely connected to a 5V/3A power source. Try a different cable or power source. Clean battery and charger contacts with a dry cloth. |
| Device not powering on with charged batteries. | Device incompatibility, incorrect battery insertion in device, or device malfunction. | Verify device compatibility (refer to Section 4.2). Check battery polarity in the device. Test batteries in another compatible device. If the issue persists, the device itself may be faulty. |
