Model: IDEA9LS2

Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe operation, assembly, and maintenance of your LE-IDEA IDEA9LS2 drone. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the drone to ensure proper function and to prevent damage or injury.

Safety Guidelines

Adhering to these safety guidelines is crucial for safe operation and to prevent accidents.

  • Age Recommendation: This drone is suitable for users of all skill levels, including children, but adult supervision is recommended for younger operators.
  • Flight Environment: Operate the drone in open, clear areas, away from people, animals, buildings, and power lines. Avoid flying in strong winds or adverse weather conditions.
  • Propeller Safety: The drone is equipped with fully enclosed propeller guards to prevent collisions and scratches. However, avoid contact with rotating propellers during operation.
  • Battery Safety: Use only the provided batteries and charging cable. Do not overcharge batteries. Discontinue use if batteries show signs of damage or swelling.
  • Low Battery Warning: Pay attention to the intelligent low-battery warning system. When the LED light flashes and the remote control emits a sound, land the drone promptly to prevent loss of control.
  • Water Exposure: Avoid exposing the drone to water or moisture, as this can damage electronic components.

Setup

1. Drone Assembly

The LE-IDEA IDEA9LS2 drone features a modular design, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly without complex tools. The main body, propellers, and battery can be independently attached or removed.

  1. Attach Propeller Guards: If not pre-installed, gently snap the propeller guards onto the drone's motor arms. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  2. Install Propellers: If spare propellers are needed, use the provided wind blade wrench to carefully remove old propellers and install new ones, matching the rotation direction indicated on the drone and propellers.

2. Battery Charging and Installation

The drone uses modular Lithium Polymer batteries. Two batteries are included for extended flight time.

  1. Charge Batteries: Connect the drone battery to the USB charging cable. Plug the USB cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show charging status (e.g., red light for charging, green light for fully charged). Charging typically takes 60-90 minutes.
  2. Install Battery: Slide a fully charged battery into the battery compartment on the drone's underside until it clicks securely into place.

3. Remote Control Setup

The remote control requires 3 AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment.
  2. Power On: Slide the ON/OFF switch on the remote control to the "ON" position.

4. Pairing the Drone with the Remote Control

  1. Power On Drone: Press and hold the power button on the drone until its indicator lights begin to flash.
  2. Power On Remote: Turn on the remote control. The indicator light on the remote will flash.
  3. Pairing: Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then pull it all the way down. The drone's lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.

Operating Instructions

Basic Flight Controls

  • One-Key Takeoff/Landing: After pairing, press the one-key takeoff/landing button (usually marked with an arrow pointing up/down) to automatically launch the drone or land it gently.
  • Drone taking off from a landing pad with a glowing blue light underneath.

  • Throttle (Left Joystick):
    • Push up: Increase altitude.
    • Pull down: Decrease altitude.
    • Push left/right: Rotate drone left/right (yaw).
  • Directional Control (Right Joystick):
    • Push up/down: Move drone forward/backward.
    • Push left/right: Move drone left/right (strafe).

Flight Modes and Special Features

  • 3-Speed Modes: The drone offers low, medium, and high flight speeds. Press the speed adjustment button on the remote (refer to remote diagram in manual) to cycle through the modes.
    • Low Speed: Gentle movement, ideal for beginners and indoor flight.
    • Medium Speed: Balanced speed and stability for experienced users.
    • High Speed: Maximum acceleration for advanced users seeking thrilling flights.
  • Three drones flying at different speeds: low, medium, and high, with propeller protection and headless mode icons.
