2. Important Pre-Installation Check
Before proceeding with installation, it is crucial to verify the following to ensure compatibility and safety:
- TV Size & Weight: Ensure your TV's size is between 37 and 140 inches and its weight does not exceed 300 lbs.
- VESA Pattern: Confirm your TV's VESA mounting pattern is within the range of 300x200mm to 1200x800mm.
- Wall Type: Identify your wall type. This mount is suitable for wood studs (16"/18"/24" spacing), concrete, and brick walls. DO NOT mount on drywall alone.
- Cable Outlet Location: Check the location of your TV's cable outlets to ensure they will not be obstructed by the mount once installed. Consider connecting cables before hanging the TV due to the low-profile design.

4. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for a secure and straightforward installation:
4.1. Prepare the Wall Plate Location
- Locate the wood studs using a stud finder. Mark the center of the studs where the mount will be installed. For concrete/brick walls, mark the desired drilling locations.
- Use the provided template to mark the drilling points on the wall. Ensure the template is level.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. For wood studs, use a 7/32 inch (5.5mm) drill bit. For concrete/brick, use a 3/8 inch (10mm) masonry drill bit and insert concrete anchors.

5. Operating the Mount
Once installed, the monTEK Fixed TV Wall Mount is designed for simple operation. The primary operational feature is the quick-release spring lock mechanism.
5.1. Locking the TV
When the TV is properly seated on the wall plate, the spring locks will automatically engage, securing the TV in place. Ensure you hear a 'click' sound, indicating the locks are engaged.
5.2. Unlocking and Removing the TV
To remove the TV from the mount, locate the two pull-strings hanging below the TV. Gently pull both strings downwards simultaneously. This will disengage the spring locks, allowing you to lift the TV off the wall plate. Always have assistance when removing a large TV.

6. Maintenance
The monTEK TV Wall Mount requires minimal maintenance to ensure long-term performance and safety.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all mounting screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Over time, vibrations or environmental factors can cause fasteners to loosen.
- Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
- Weight Limits: Never exceed the maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues during or after installation, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- TV Not Level: If the TV appears unlevel after installation, check the wall plate's levelness. Minor adjustments can sometimes be made by slightly loosening and re-tightening the wall plate bolts, or by adjusting the TV's position on the wall plate if applicable.
- Difficulty Engaging Locks: Ensure the TV brackets are properly seated on the wall plate. Sometimes a slight lift and re-seating of the TV is needed for the spring locks to engage fully.
- Mount Feels Unstable: Immediately remove the TV and re-check all wall plate fasteners. Ensure lag bolts are fully seated into the center of wood studs or concrete anchors are properly installed. If unsure, consult a professional installer.
- Cables Obstructed: Due to the low-profile design, connecting cables after the TV is hung can be difficult. If possible, connect all necessary cables before hanging the TV. Consider using right-angle adapters for HDMI or power cables if space is limited.
