5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, tape, and any promotional labels. Inspect the unit for any damage. If any damage is found, do not operate the unit and contact customer support.

5.2 Placement

Place the ice maker on a stable, level countertop away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. The compact design (16.34"D x 10.63"W x 16.93"H) allows it to fit neatly on most countertops.

5.3 Water Reservoir

The ice maker features a 2.4L rear water reservoir. You can fill it in two ways:

  1. Flip-Top Lid: Pour water directly into the reservoir through the flip-top lid on top of the unit.
  2. Removable Tank: The water tank can be removed for easier filling under a faucet. Gently pull the tank out from the back of the unit, fill it with clean water, and then securely place it back.

5.4 Initial Cleaning

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Control Panel Overview

The smart control panel provides all necessary indicators and controls:

  • Add Water Indicator: Lights up when the water reservoir needs refilling.
  • Ice Quantity Indicator: Displays the current level of ice in the storage basket.
  • Clean Indicator: Lights up during the self-cleaning cycle.
  • ON/OFF Button: Powers the unit on or off.

6.2 Power On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button briefly to turn the ice maker on or off. The unit will begin the ice-making process automatically when turned on, provided there is sufficient water.

6.3 Ice Making Process

Once powered on and with water in the reservoir, the ice maker will start producing chewable nugget ice. The first ice-making cycle may be slightly slower than subsequent cycles. The unit is designed for rapid and efficient ice production, capable of making up to 44 lbs of ice daily.

6.4 Dispensing Ice

To dispense ice, place your cup or container under the ice outlet and pull the control lever. The contactless design ensures hygienic ice collection. The ice storage basket keeps the ice frozen, so you always have perfect nugget ice ready.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Automatic Self-Cleaning

The COWSAR Nugget Ice Maker features an effortless one-touch self-cleaning cycle. To activate:

  1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
  2. Short-press the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.
  3. The unit will enter a quick cleaning cycle that lasts for approximately 10 minutes. The 'Clean' indicator will light up during this process.

7.2 Drainage

The unit is equipped with a convenient drain plug for quick and easy drainage. This is particularly useful for thorough cleaning or when preparing to store the machine.

Important: Before shutting down the unit, take out all ice cubes to prevent water overflow from melting ice. If excessive water accumulates in the drip tray, unplug the water drain cap to empty it.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Slow First Ice Making: The first ice-making cycle will be slightly slower. Subsequent cycles will operate at normal speed. This is a normal operation.
  • Noise During Operation: During the ice-making process, the ice maker will continue to produce ice cubes. There may be a sound of small ice cubes colliding. This is normal ice maker operation.
  • 'Add Water' Indicator On: If the 'Add Water' indicator lights up, the water reservoir is low and needs to be refilled.
  • Water Overflow in Drip Tray: If there is too much water in the drip tray, unplug the water drain cap to drain the water inside the unit.
