Setup

1. Powering On/Off

To power on the camera, press and hold the Power button for 3-5 seconds. The screen will light up, indicating the camera is starting. To power off, long press the Power button again until the screen turns off.

2. Inserting Battery and TF Card

The battery and TF (micro SD) card slots are located on the right side of the camera. Open the compartment cover. Insert the battery with the colorful character facing the front screen. Insert the TF card by gently pressing it until it clicks into place. Ensure the coloring side of the TF card faces the screen. To remove, press the TF card again to release it, and pull the battery out using the ribbon.

3. Attaching/Detaching Magnetic Base

The camera features a magnetic quick-release base. Align the magnetic base with the bottom of the camera; it will attract automatically. To secure it, push the base wings to the bottom until they are vertical to the camera. To detach, pinch the two wings of the base gently and pull apart.

Operating Instructions

1. Switching Modes

Short press the left side button (usually the Power/Mode button) to switch between video and photo modes. The current mode will be displayed on the screen.

2. Adjusting Settings

Access the settings menu by tapping the gear icon on the screen. Here you can adjust various parameters:

  • Resolution: Select video resolution (e.g., 4K30FPS, 2K).
  • Video Encoding: Choose encoding format (e.g., H.264).
  • Looping Video: Set the duration for loop recording (e.g., 3 minutes).
  • Angle: Adjust the wide-angle setting.
  • Exposure: Modify exposure compensation.
  • Image Stabilization: Enable or disable stabilization (e.g., Ordinary anti-shake, SuperSmooth). Note: Some stabilization modes may affect zoom or angle settings.
  • Pre-Recording: Activate pre-recording to capture footage before pressing record (e.g., 15 seconds).
  • Time Lapse Video/Photo: Configure settings for time-lapse capture.
  • Burst Photo: Set burst shot parameters.
  • Motion Detection: Enable motion-activated recording.
  • Logo Watermark: Turn on/off the MTCA logo watermark.
  • Language, Date & Time, Auto Power Off, Screen Saver, Anti-Flicker, WiFi Band, Format, Reset, Version, Remote: General camera settings.

3. Using Dual Screens for Selfies

The camera features a dual-screen design. The front screen allows for easy framing when taking selfies or vlogging. You can switch the display to the front screen for convenience.

4. WiFi Connectivity and App Usage

To connect your camera to the mobile app:

  1. Download the dedicated mobile app (refer to the User Manual for app name and download instructions).
  2. On your camera, navigate to the WiFi settings and enable WiFi.
  3. On your smartphone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the camera's WiFi network (SSID and password will be displayed on the camera screen).
  4. Open the mobile app to view live footage, transfer videos/photos, and share directly to social media.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the lens and screens. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Waterproof Housing: Before each use in water, inspect the waterproof housing for any cracks, debris, or damage to the seals. Ensure all latches are securely closed. After use in saltwater, rinse the housing with fresh water and let it air dry.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures. Do not expose batteries to fire or direct sunlight.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the camera in a protective case to prevent scratches and damage.
