Product Overview

The KLIM K7 is a versatile device combining a cassette player, MP3 converter, and audio recorder. Familiarize yourself with its main components:

Setup

1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the KLIM K7. The device has a 1000mAh rechargeable battery.

1. Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the KLIM K7.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
4. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change or turn off, depending on the device's design.

2. Inserting the SD Card

The included 16GB Micro SD card is essential for MP3 conversion and recording functions.

1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the KLIM K7.
2. Gently insert the 16GB Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
3. To remove, push the SD card inward until it clicks, then release, and it will spring out.

3. Connecting Earphones

For private listening, use the included KLIM Fusion earphones or any standard 3.5mm headphones.

• Plug the 3.5mm jack of the earphones into the earphone port on the KLIM K7.
• Adjust the volume using the volume control dial.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

• To turn on the device, slide the Power switch to the "ON" position.
• To turn off the device, slide the Power switch to the "OFF" position.

2. Playing Cassette Tapes

1. Open the cassette compartment door.
2. Insert a cassette tape with the open edge facing upwards.
3. Close the cassette compartment door firmly.
4. Press the PLAY button to start playback.
5. Adjust the volume using the volume control dial.
6. Use the FF (Fast Forward) and REW (Rewind) buttons to navigate the tape.
7. Press the STOP button to stop playback. The device features an Auto-Stop system that will stop the tape when it reaches the end.

3. Converting Cassette to MP3

The KLIM K7 allows direct conversion of cassette audio to MP3 files on the inserted SD card.

1. Ensure an SD card is inserted and the device is powered on.
2. Insert the cassette tape you wish to convert.
3. Press the PLAY button to start the cassette tape.
4. Long press the RECORD button (usually indicated by a red circle) to begin MP3 conversion. The display will show a recording indicator.
5. To stop recording, press the RECORD button again. The recording will be saved as an MP3 file on the SD card.
6. You can then stop the cassette playback by pressing the STOP button.

4. Recording with Built-in Microphone

The KLIM K7 can record external audio directly to the SD card using its built-in microphone.

1. Ensure an SD card is inserted and the device is powered on.
2. Long press the RECORD button. The display will show a recording indicator, and the device will start recording audio from its built-in microphone.
3. To stop recording, press the RECORD button again. The recording will be saved as an MP3 file on the SD card.

Note: The KLIM K7 does not support recording onto cassette tapes.

5. Playing MP3 Files from SD Card

The KLIM K7 can also function as an MP3 player, playing files stored on the SD card.

• Ensure an SD card with MP3 files is inserted and the device is powered on.
• The device will automatically detect and play MP3 files from the SD card.
• Use the playback control buttons (Play, Pause, Next, Previous) to navigate your MP3 files.
• Adjust the volume using the volume control dial.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
• Tape Head Cleaning: Periodically clean the tape heads with a specialized cassette head cleaning kit to ensure optimal sound quality and prevent tape damage.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
• SD Card Care: Handle the SD card carefully. Avoid touching the metal contacts. Format the SD card periodically if you experience issues, ensuring you back up important files first.
