Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your coffee maker:

2. Wash the water reservoir, drip tray, and all adapters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, clean water and place it back on the machine.
4. Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
5. Perform an initial rinse cycle: Insert an empty adapter (without a capsule) and run a large cup brew cycle to flush the internal system. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

Brewing Coffee (General Steps)

The Warriors1 coffee maker simplifies brewing with its automatic hydraulic lifting system:

1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water.
2. Select the appropriate adapter for your coffee type (Keurig K Cup, Nespresso Original, Dolce Gusto, or Ground Coffee).
3. Place your coffee pod or ground coffee into the chosen adapter. Ensure it is seated firmly.
4. Insert the filled adapter into the machine. The intelligent detection system will ensure correct placement.
5. Place your cup on the drip tray. The machine accommodates mugs up to 5.5 inches tall.
6. Select your desired cup size (Small, Medium, or Large) by pressing the corresponding button. The machine will begin brewing.
7. For optimal temperature, it is recommended to run a hot water flush (without a capsule) before each brew to preheat the internal pipes.

Brewing with Ground Coffee

For ground coffee, use the dedicated ground coffee adapter:

1. Insert the coffee dosing funnel into the ground coffee adapter.
2. Fill with 7-10g of ground coffee.
3. Press the coffee with the tamper.
4. Close the cover of the adapter.
5. Insert the adapter into the machine.
6. Press the desired brew button for one-touch brewing.

Customizing Brew Settings

The machine allows for customization of cup volume and temperature:

Custom Coffee Volume Setting

• Preparation: Place a cup (at least 20 oz) under the outlet. Insert any adapter (using a pod gives better accuracy).
• Enter Setting Mode: Press and hold your chosen cup button (Small, Medium, or Large) for 5 seconds. Release when it starts flashing. Brewing will begin.
• Customize Volume: Press the same button again to stop when the desired amount is reached.
• Auto Save: The machine saves your setting, even if unplugged. Other cup buttons remain unchanged.

Custom Temperature Setting

• Enter Temp Setting Mode: Press and hold both the Medium and Large cup buttons simultaneously (while in standby mode). Release when they flash 3 times, then turn off. You are now in temp setting mode and have 5 seconds to select a temperature.
• Set Low Temp (≈189°F): Press the Small cup button. The Small cup light flashes once, then turns off. Low Temp is set.
• Set Medium Temp (≈194°F): Press the Medium cup button. The Medium cup light flashes once, then turns off. Medium Temp is set.
• Set High Temp (≈201°F): Press the Large cup button. The Large cup light flashes once, then turns off. High Temp is set.

Note: Temperature setting is saved, even after shutdown or unplugging.

Automatic Cleaning System

The machine features an automatic cleaning system for convenience. Simply insert an adapter (without a coffee pod) and start brewing to clean the water path, brewing chamber, and adapter.

Descaling Process

After approximately 200 cups, the machine's three brew buttons will slowly flash green, indicating a descaling reminder. This is not a malfunction and brewing can continue. Regular descaling is crucial to remove mineral buildup and maintain optimal performance and coffee taste.

Auto Descaling Program Guide

1. Step 1: Add Descaling Solution. Mix 80ml citric acid with 800ml water and pour into the water tank.
2. Step 2: Prepare for Descaling. Insert an empty NES* adapter (no pod) and place a 300ml cup under the dispenser.
3. Step 3: Start Descaling Mode. Press both the Medium and Large buttons. Release when the Small cup light illuminates.
4. Step 4: Automatic 3-Cycle Descaling. The machine will automatically run small, medium, and large cycles. Empty the cup after each cycle.
5. Step 5: Descaling Complete. All cup lights will stay on. The reminder is cleared.
6. Step 6: Rinse Thoroughly. Refill the tank with clean water and run another 3-cycle rinse to ensure safety.

Ground Coffee Adapter Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and prevent blockages, regularly clean the ground coffee adapter:

• Automatic Rinse: Insert the empty adapter into the machine and run a brew cycle to rinse it.
• Manual Cleaning: Disassemble the adapter and clean the top filter holes and bottom stainless steel filters to prevent blockages and ensure smooth coffee flow.

If you encounter issues with your coffee maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• No Water Coming Out: Check if the water reservoir is filled. Use the cleaning pin to clear the needle outlet if it's clogged.
• Experiencing Leaks:
  • Using too fine or too much ground coffee may cause leakage.
  • A worn or missing silicone ring on the adapter can lead to leaks.
  • Restarting the brew immediately after a pause may cause spillage.
  • Incompatible or soft plastic NES* capsules may result in leakage.
• Weak Ground Coffee: The ground adapter is designed for 7-10g of espresso-style shots. NES* pods are also best for Espresso and Lungo. Not recommended for Large cup brews if you prefer strong coffee.
• Loud Brewing Sound: Espresso machines brew under high pressure (10+ Bar), unlike regular drip or pod brewers. This brewing sound is completely normal.
• NES* Coffee Pod Issue: The pod top may not have been fully pierced. Also, avoid using the Large cup button for NES* pods—long brew times can cause fine grounds to block the pod outlet and build up pressure.
