1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your vSeeBox Bluetooth Voice Remote Control. This remote is specifically designed for full compatibility with vSeeBox V3Plus and V3Pro models, offering enhanced control through Bluetooth connectivity and voice commands.

2. Product Overview

The vSeeBox Bluetooth Voice Remote Control combines traditional remote functionality with modern features like Bluetooth connectivity and voice control. Its ergonomic design ensures comfortable handling, while dedicated buttons provide quick access to essential functions and popular streaming services.

3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the indicators inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2. Bluetooth Pairing

To enable Bluetooth and voice control features, you must pair the remote with your vSeeBox V3Plus or V3Pro device:

  1. Ensure your vSeeBox device is powered on and within range.
  2. On the vSeeBox remote control, press and hold the [OK] button and the [-] (Volume Down) button simultaneously.
  3. Hold both buttons until a message indicating “Remote control connected successfully” appears on your TV screen. The next step will be automatically entered.
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

3.3. TV Control Programming (IR Learning Function)

This remote can learn basic functions from your existing TV remote, allowing you to control your TV's power, volume, and input with a single remote. The programming instructions are also printed on the back of the remote (refer to Figure 3).

  1. Press and hold the [TV CONTROL] power button (located at the top left) on the vSeeBox remote for approximately 5 seconds. The LED indicator on the remote will turn solid, indicating it has entered learning mode.
  2. Slowly press the key on the vSeeBox remote that you wish to program (e.g., TV Power, Volume Up, Volume Down, Input). The key is now ready to accept programming.
  3. Aim your original TV remote control directly towards the front of the vSeeBox remote (maintain a distance of less than 3cm). Press the corresponding key on your TV remote. If programming is successful, the LED on the vSeeBox remote will flash.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any other keys you wish to program (e.g., Volume Up, Volume Down, Input).
  5. To exit learning mode, press any other button on the vSeeBox remote that was not part of the programming sequence. The LED indicator will turn off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Navigation

  • Directional Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right): Navigate through menus and content.
  • OK Button: Select items or confirm actions.
  • Back Button: Return to the previous screen or menu.
  • Home Button: Go directly to the main home screen of your vSeeBox device.
  • Volume Buttons (+/-): Adjust the volume.
  • Channel/Page Buttons (Ch/Pg Up/Down): Change channels or scroll through pages.

4.2. Voice Control

After successful Bluetooth pairing, you can use voice commands:

  1. Press the Microphone Button (usually located below the navigation pad).
  2. Speak clearly into the remote control. You can search for content, open applications, or issue commands.
  3. Release the button when you are finished speaking.

4.3. Quick Access Buttons

The remote features dedicated buttons for popular streaming services:

  • YouTube: Launches the YouTube application.
  • Netflix: Launches the Netflix application.
  • Prime Video: Launches the Amazon Prime Video application.
  • Disney+: Launches the Disney+ application.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

When the remote control's performance degrades or it becomes unresponsive, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1. Always use new AAA batteries and dispose of old batteries responsibly.

5.2. Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace them if necessary.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and your vSeeBox device.
    • Re-attempt Bluetooth pairing as described in Section 3.2.
  • Voice control not working:
    • Confirm that the remote is successfully paired via Bluetooth.
    • Ensure you are pressing and holding the Microphone button while speaking.
    • Check your vSeeBox device's settings to ensure voice input is enabled.
  • TV control programming failed:
    • Ensure the original TV remote is working and has fresh batteries.
    • Maintain a close distance (less than 3cm) between the two remotes during programming.
    • Repeat the programming steps carefully, ensuring the LED indicator responds as expected.
