2. Safety Information
To ensure safe operation and prevent damage to the safe or injury, please observe the following safety guidelines:
- Do not store the emergency keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure location outside the safe, accessible only to authorized users.
- Keep the safe out of reach of children.
- Do not expose the safe to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the safe.
- Ensure the safe is securely mounted if intended for wall or floor installation to prevent tipping.
- Do not attempt to force the safe open if the electronic lock malfunctions. Use the emergency key.

4. Setup
4.1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove the safe from its packaging.
- Inspect the safe for any signs of damage during transit.
- Locate the emergency keys. These are typically taped to the outside of the safe or included in a small bag. Do not store them inside the safe.
4.2. Battery Installation
The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) to power the electronic lock.
- Open the safe using one of the emergency keys. Insert the key into the keyhole, turn it clockwise, and then turn the handle to open the door.
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
- Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
4.3. Setting Your Personal Code
The safe comes with a factory default code (usually 1-2-3-4 or 0-0-0-0). It is highly recommended to change this immediately.
- With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge.
- Press the red reset button. You will hear a beep, and the yellow indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
- Within 5 seconds, enter your desired personal code (3-8 digits) on the keypad.
- Press the "A" or "B" button (or "#" or "*" depending on model) to confirm your new code. You will hear a confirmation beep.
- Test your new code with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.
4.4. Mounting the Safe (Optional)
For added security, the safe can be mounted to a wall or floor using the pre-drilled holes and included hardware.
- Choose a suitable location for mounting. Ensure the surface is sturdy enough to support the safe's weight.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
- Drill pilot holes into the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
- Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting bolts and washers. Tighten securely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Opening the Safe with Your Personal Code
- Enter your personal code (3-8 digits) on the keypad.
- Press the "A" or "B" button (or "#" or "*" depending on model) to confirm.
- If the code is correct, the green indicator light will illuminate, and you will hear a beep.
- Within 5 seconds, turn the handle clockwise to open the safe door.
5.2. Opening the Safe with Emergency Key
In case of battery failure or forgotten code, the emergency key can be used.
- Locate the keyhole cover on the keypad panel (usually a small removable cap).
- Remove the cover to expose the keyhole.
- Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
- While holding the key turned, turn the handle clockwise to open the safe door.
- Once open, remove the key.
5.3. Closing and Locking the Safe
- Close the safe door firmly.
- Turn the handle counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts. The safe is now locked.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
When the batteries are low, the red indicator light on the keypad may flash or remain lit after entering a code, or the keypad may become unresponsive. Replace batteries promptly.
- Open the safe door.
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the door.
- Remove the old batteries and dispose of them responsibly.
- Insert 4 new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
6.2. Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or electronic components.
6.3. Key Care
Keep the emergency keys clean and dry. Do not lubricate the keyhole or lock mechanism with oil or grease, as this can attract dust and cause blockages.
