  • RGB Lighting: Integrated LED lighting around the volume knob on the subwoofer, providing dynamic visual effects.
  • USB Power Input: For connecting the speaker system to a 5V USB power source.
  • 3.5mm AUX Input: For wired audio connection to devices.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your HP DHS-2113-S speaker system:

  1. Placement: Place the subwoofer on a stable surface, preferably on the floor or a desk, to maximize bass response. Position the two satellite speakers on either side of your monitor or listening area for optimal stereo separation.
  2. Connect Satellite Speakers: Connect the cables from the two satellite speakers to the corresponding output ports on the back of the subwoofer. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the USB power cable into a 5V USB power source (e.g., a computer USB port, a USB wall adapter, or a power bank). The system will power on automatically or require a press of the power button.
  4. Connect Audio Source:
    • Wired Connection (AUX): Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX audio cable to the AUX input port on the subwoofer and the other end to the audio output jack of your device (e.g., computer, smartphone, TV).
    • Bluetooth Connection: Refer to Section 5.2 for detailed Bluetooth pairing instructions.
  5. Initial Volume Adjustment: Turn the volume knob on the subwoofer to a low setting before playing audio to avoid sudden loud sounds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control

  • Power On: Once connected to a USB power source, the system should power on. If not, press and hold the main volume knob for a few seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the main volume knob for a few seconds until the indicators turn off.
  • Volume Adjustment: Rotate the main volume knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

5.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect your device via Bluetooth:

  1. Activate Bluetooth Mode: If the speaker system is not already in Bluetooth mode, a short press of the volume knob might switch between input modes (AUX/Bluetooth). The RGB lighting or an indicator light may change to signify Bluetooth pairing mode (often blinking blue).
  2. Enable Bluetooth on Your Device: Go to the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
  3. Search for Devices: Scan for available Bluetooth devices. You should see "HP DHS-2113-S" or a similar name appear in the list.
  4. Pair: Select "HP DHS-2113-S" to pair. Once connected, the speaker system may emit a confirmation sound, and the Bluetooth indicator light will become solid.
  5. Playback: You can now play audio from your device through the speaker system.

Note: The speaker system will attempt to reconnect to the last paired device automatically when powered on and within range.

5.3 Wired Connectivity (AUX)

To use the wired connection:

  1. Connect AUX Cable: Ensure the 3.5mm AUX cable is connected between your audio source and the subwoofer's AUX input.
  2. Select AUX Mode: If the system is in Bluetooth mode, a short press of the volume knob may switch it to AUX mode.
  3. Playback: Play audio from your connected device.

5.4 RGB Lighting

The subwoofer features dynamic RGB LED lighting. The lighting typically activates automatically when the system is powered on. Specific controls for changing lighting modes or turning them off are usually integrated into the main volume knob (e.g., a short press or double-press, or a dedicated button if available). Refer to the product's quick start guide if specific RGB control functions are not immediately apparent.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the speakers. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid Water: Keep the speakers away from water, moisture, and other liquids.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the subwoofer has adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Do not block any vents.
