Setup and Assembly
Your SENIX lawn mower requires some assembly before first use. It is recommended to perform assembly on a flat, stable surface like a patio table or garage floor.
Tools Required:
- 10mm socket wrench
- 13mm socket wrench
- Crescent wrench (capable of opening to 13mm)
- Optional: A second 13mm socket wrench with a second handle for easier tightening.
Assembly Steps:
- Attach Lower Handles: Bolt on the lower handles. Ensure they flare outwards, not inwards, as shown in Figure 6 of the included printed manual.
- Install Wheels: When installing the wheels, the bolt or axle should go through the wheel first. The bushing and nut are then secured on the inside. Ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened securely.
- Connect Cables: Connect any control cables to the handle assembly.
- Attach Grass Bagger (if applicable): Secure the grass bagger to the rear of the mower.
Adding Oil and Fuel:
Before starting the mower, it is crucial to add engine oil and fuel. The mower is shipped without these fluids.
- Engine Oil: Locate the oil fill cap, typically marked with an oil can symbol. Pour the provided engine oil into the oil reservoir. Refer to the engine's dipstick for the correct fill level. Do not overfill.
- Fuel: Locate the fuel tank cap, typically marked with a gas pump symbol. Fill the tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. For optimal performance and engine longevity, it is highly recommended to use non-ethanol gasoline.
- Air Filter: The foam air filter may come lightly oiled from the factory. Check its condition and ensure it is properly seated.

Adjusting Cutting Height:
The mower features a 6-position single-lever height adjustment system, allowing you to set the cutting height from 1.25 inches to 4 inches.

Mowing Functions (3-in-1 System):
Your mower offers three versatile cutting options:
- Mulching: The mower finely cuts grass clippings and returns them to the lawn as natural fertilizer. To mulch, ensure the side discharge chute and rear bagger are removed, and the mulch plug is installed.
- Side Discharge: Grass clippings are discharged from the side of the mower. To use side discharge, attach the side discharge chute and ensure the rear bagger is removed and the mulch plug is not installed.
- Rear Bagging: Clippings are collected in the 19-gallon grass bag. To bag, attach the grass bagger and ensure the side discharge chute is removed and the mulch plug is not installed.

Self-Propelled Operation:
The self-propelled rear-wheel drive system assists in moving the mower forward, reducing effort, especially on inclines.
- To engage the self-propel feature, hold down the self-propel lever (usually located on the upper handle).
- Release the lever to disengage the self-propel feature.
- The mower is single-speed, providing consistent forward motion.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower. Always ensure the engine is off and the spark plug wire is disconnected before performing any maintenance.
Cleaning:
- The mower features an integrated washout port for easy cleaning of the underside of the deck. Connect a garden hose to the port and run the engine for a short period to clean.
- After each use, clean grass clippings from the deck, wheels, and engine cooling fins.
Engine Maintenance:
- Oil Changes: Refer to the engine manufacturer's manual for recommended oil change intervals. Regularly check the oil level and top up as needed.
- Air Filter: Inspect the air filter regularly. Clean or replace it if it is dirty or clogged to ensure proper engine performance.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn or fouled.
Blade Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect the cutting blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
- If the blade is dull, it can be sharpened or replaced. Use only genuine SENIX replacement blades or equivalent specifications.
- For replacement blades, contact SENIX customer support or an authorized dealer.
