4.1. Expanding the Drop Leaf Countertop

The kitchen island features a foldable drop-leaf countertop that can be expanded to provide additional workspace or dining area. To expand, simply release the safety latches located underneath the drop leaf and lift the leaf into the horizontal position. Ensure the support mechanism is fully engaged for stability. To fold down, disengage the support and gently lower the leaf until the latches secure it in the folded position.
