Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the Aiper Scuba S1. Charging typically takes approximately 4 hours. The charging port is located at the back of the unit. Ensure the port is dry before connecting the charger.

2. Placing in Pool

Once charged, select your desired cleaning mode using the single power button on the unit. Gently lower the cleaner into the pool. The unit will sink to the bottom and begin its cleaning cycle automatically based on the selected mode.

Operating Modes

The Aiper Scuba S1 offers four distinct cleaning modes to suit your pool's needs:

  • Auto Mode: This is the default smart mode. The cleaner will automatically clean the pool floor, walls, and waterline. The duration of this cycle is approximately 2.5 hours.
  • Floor-Only Mode: Focuses solely on cleaning the pool floor. Ideal for routine debris removal from the bottom.
  • Wall-Only Mode: Concentrates on scrubbing the pool walls and waterline. This mode is effective for removing algae and buildup from vertical surfaces.
  • Eco Mode: Designed for regular maintenance. In this mode, the cleaner will run for 45 minutes every 48 hours, providing a general clean to keep your pool spotless throughout the week without frequent manual intervention. The battery supports three such cycles before needing a recharge.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Filter Basket

The Aiper Scuba S1 features a large, easy-to-access top-load filter basket for convenient debris removal. Regularly clean the filter basket to maintain optimal suction and cleaning performance.

  1. Open the top lid of the cleaner.
  2. Lift the filter basket using its handle.
  3. Open the clips on the basket to empty collected debris.
  4. Rinse the filter basket thoroughly with a hose to remove any remaining dirt or fine particles.
  5. Reassemble the basket and place it back into the cleaner.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Cleaner gets stuck on steps or corners: While the caterpillar treads provide superior mobility, complex pool shapes or very steep steps might occasionally cause the cleaner to pause or reorient. Allow it a moment to adjust its path.
  • Fine dust or silt remains in pool: The standard filter basket is effective for most debris. However, for very fine dust or silt, ensure the filter is clean. For persistent issues, additional pool filtration or specialized ultra-fine filters may be required.
  • Retrieving the cleaner: The Aiper Scuba S1 comes with a hook that can be attached to a standard pool pole for easy retrieval from the water.
