Setup

1. Gimbal Assembly

Unfold the gimbal and ensure all axis locks are disengaged before powering on. Attach the mini tripod to the bottom of the gimbal handle for stability during setup.

2. Camera Mounting

Attach the quick release plate to the bottom of your camera using the camera mounting screw.
Slide the camera with the attached quick release plate onto the gimbal's mounting platform.
Secure the camera by tightening the locking lever on the quick release system.

3. Balancing the Gimbal

Proper balancing is crucial for optimal performance and to prevent motor strain. Follow these steps for each axis:

Tilt Axis Balance: Unlock the tilt axis. Adjust the camera forward or backward on the quick release plate until the camera remains level when tilted.
Roll Axis Balance: Unlock the roll axis. Adjust the horizontal arm left or right until the camera remains level without tilting to either side.
Pan Axis Balance: Unlock the pan axis. Adjust the vertical arm up or down until the camera remains stable when rotated horizontally.

After balancing, ensure all axis locks are re-engaged before powering on the gimbal.

4. Connecting Cables

Use the provided USB-C to Type-C camera control cable to connect your camera to the gimbal for control functions.

Operating the Gimbal

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button to turn the gimbal on or off. The gimbal will automatically initialize and attempt to balance the camera.

2. Gimbal Modes

The SCORP 3 offers various operating modes accessible via the touchscreen or physical buttons:

Pan Follow (PF): Camera pans left/right following your hand movements, tilt and roll axes are locked.
Lock Mode (L): All three axes are locked, keeping the camera pointed in a fixed direction.
Follow Mode (F): All three axes follow your hand movements.
POV Mode: All three axes follow your hand movements, providing a first-person perspective.
Tracking Mode: Utilizes AI tracking to follow a designated subject.

3. Detachable Underslung Handle

The underslung handle can be detached for remote control or low-angle shooting. It provides a comfortable grip and allows for real-time status monitoring.

4. AI Tracking 4.0

5. Using the Feiyu SCORP App

Maintenance

1. Battery Charging
