3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation ensures optimal performance and comfort. The T1 Intercom supports installation on most helmet styles.

3.1. Speaker and Microphone Installation

  1. Remove the helmet liner to access the interior.
  2. Tear off the Velcro backing for the speakers and stick them into the reserved headphone slots inside the helmet.
  3. Tear off the Velcro backing for the microphone and stick it inside the helmet near your mouth position.
  4. Connect the microphone to the main unit.
  5. Organize the cables neatly inside the helmet and reinstall the helmet liner.

3.2. Main Unit Clip Installation

Two mounting options are provided: a plastic clamp mount and a 3M adhesive clamp mount.

Using the Plastic Clamp Mount:

  1. Take the screwdriver from the package and loosen the two screws on the clamp.
  2. Attach the clamp to the left side of the helmet.
  3. Slide the back track of the device into the clamping track until it clicks into place.
  4. Tighten the screws on the clamp to secure it.
  5. Insert the earphone jack into the lower port of the intercom.

Using the 3M Adhesive Mount:

  1. Clean the surface on the left side of the helmet where the mount will be placed.
  2. Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive.
  3. Stick the 3M adhesive mount firmly onto the helmet.
  4. Slide the device's back track into the clamping track.
  5. Insert the earphone jack into the lower port of the intercom.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off and Pairing

  1. Power On: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds.
  2. Pairing Mode: When the device is off, press and hold the function button for 3 seconds. The red and blue indicator lights will flash, indicating pairing mode.
  3. Connect to Mobile Phone: Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone and pair with "FODSPORTS T1".

4.2. Phone Functions

  • Answer/End Call: Short press the Function button.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Function button for 1 second.
  • Switch Manual/Automatic Answering: Long press the Function button and ON/OFF button for 1 second.
  • Adjust Volume: Rotate the scroll wheel forward or backward for 1 second.

4.4. FM Radio

  • Radio ON/OFF: Double-click the ON/OFF button.
  • Next Channel: Rotate the scroll wheel forward once.

  • Controls Unresponsive: Try restarting the device. If issues persist, ensure the device is not exposed to extreme conditions.
