4. Setup and Assembly Instructions

Assembly requires two people. Ensure you have the following tools:

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Hammer (rubber mallet recommended)
• Measuring tape (optional)

4.1. Assembling the Bed Frame

1. Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all parts and lay them out on a clean, soft surface. Identify each component using the provided parts list.
2. Assemble Side Panels: Attach the side panels to the headboard and footboard using the provided hardware (cam locks, dowels, screws). Ensure all connections are snug.

4.2. Installing the Slatted Base (KALISTA)

1. Unpack Slatted Base: Remove the KALISTA slatted base from its packaging.
2. Position Base: Place the slatted base onto the support beams and ledges within the assembled bed frame. Ensure it sits evenly and securely.
3. Secure Base: If applicable, use the provided fasteners to secure the slatted base to the bed frame.

4.3. Final Steps

1. Place Mattress: Carefully place your compatible mattress (140 x 190 cm or 140 x 200 cm) onto the slatted base.
2. Check Stability: Gently push and pull the bed to ensure it is stable and all connections are secure.

5. Operating Instructions (Usage)

• Sleeping Surface: The bed is designed for a 140 x 190 cm or 140 x 200 cm mattress. Ensure the mattress fits snugly within the frame.
• Storage Drawers: The three integrated drawers are designed for storing bedding, clothing, or other personal items. Pull them out gently using the handles. Avoid overloading the drawers to ensure smooth operation and prevent damage.
• Storage Niches: The two open niches provide additional space for books, decorative items, or frequently accessed essentials.
