4.1 Recording Modes

The camera supports three distinct recording modes:

  • Motion Detection: The camera records only when movement is detected. This mode is ideal for capturing specific events and saving storage space.
  • PIR Human Detection: This advanced mode uses a Passive Infrared sensor to detect human body heat, significantly reducing false alarms caused by pets or inanimate objects.
  • Continuous Recording: The camera records 24/7, providing constant surveillance. This mode is best for continuous monitoring and security purposes.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your camera.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
  • Battery Care: To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the camera frequently. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the HIDVCAM app for any available firmware updates for your camera. Updates can improve performance and add new features.
