This 2-pack of motion sensors is compatible with X-Sense AS05, AS08, and AS12 security kits and requires an SBS50A Base Station (sold separately) for full functionality. 5. Setup

5.1 Prerequisites

• An X-Sense SBS50A Base Station (sold separately) must be set up and connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
• The X-Sense Home Security App must be installed on your smartphone and linked to your SBS50A Base Station.

5.2 Battery Installation

The motion detectors come with 2 AAA batteries. If not pre-installed, open the battery compartment on the back of the detector and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

5.3 Pairing with the Base Station

1. Ensure your SBS50A Base Station is powered on and connected to the X-Sense App.
2. Open the X-Sense Home Security App and navigate to the device pairing section.
3. On the SMS0A Motion Detector, locate the pairing button (refer to the device diagram in the app or manual for exact location).
4. Press and hold the pairing button until the indicator light on the detector starts to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions in the X-Sense App to complete the pairing process. The app will confirm when the detector is successfully added to your system.

5.4 Mounting the Motion Detector

The SMS0A Motion Detector can be mounted on a flat wall or in a corner. Choose a location that provides optimal coverage for the area you wish to monitor, such as hallways, basements, stairwells, or entry points. Avoid placing it near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with strong air currents that could cause false alarms.

Wall Mounting:

1. Clean the desired wall surface to ensure it is dry and free of dust.
2. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive tape on the back of the detector.
3. Firmly press the detector onto the wall at the chosen height and hold for 30 seconds.
4. For a more secure installation, use the provided screws and wall plugs. Mark the drill holes, drill, insert plugs, and then screw the detector into place.

Corner Mounting:

1. Clean both corner surfaces where the detector will be placed.
2. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive tape on the side of the detector.
3. Align the detector in the corner and firmly press it against both surfaces, holding for 30 seconds.
4. Alternatively, use screws and wall plugs for a permanent installation.

The X-Sense SMS0A Motion Detector operates in conjunction with your SBS50A Base Station and the X-Sense Home Security App.
