4. Setup

4.2. Inserting a MicroSD Card

The camera requires a MicroSD card (not included) for storing recordings. It supports cards up to 256GB. For optimal performance, use a Class 10, UHS-3, or V6 speed class MicroSD card. Locate the TF Booth (MicroSD card slot) as shown in Image 3.1 and gently insert the card until it clicks into place.

4.3. Mounting the Camera

Utilize the included mounting brackets to securely attach the camera to your helmet, bicycle handlebars, or other sports gear. Ensure the camera is firmly attached and positioned to capture your desired field of view (120° wide-angle).

4.4. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

To access live footage, playback, and download files, install the dedicated app on your smartphone (compatible with Android and iOS). Turn on the camera's Wi-Fi by pressing the WiFi Key. Connect your smartphone to the camera's Wi-Fi network (SSID and password typically found on the camera or in the app instructions). Open the app to establish a connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power On/Off/Switch Button (7) for a few seconds to turn the camera on or off. The indicator lights will confirm the power status.

5.2. Video Recording

Once powered on, press the Video/Photo Button (6) to start video recording. The Video/Photo Indicator Light (5) will change to indicate recording is in progress. Press the button again to stop recording. The camera captures 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second with a 120° wide-angle lens.

5.3. Photo Capture

While in standby mode, a short press of the Video/Photo Button (6) will capture a still image. The indicator light may flash briefly to confirm the photo has been taken.

5.4. Loop Recording

The H81 camera supports automatic loop recording. When the MicroSD card is full, the camera will automatically overwrite the oldest files to continue recording. This feature is ideal for continuous use as a dash cam.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

6.2. Storage

7. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again. If the issue persists, try pressing the Reset Button (3).
